So far it’s good

So far, it’s been a good microwave. I like the sensor and how when beverage is selected, it counts down from 20 seconds. You can’t pause during sensor cooking but you can hit off.

It's only ok!

The door is loud and tight to close. Keeps beeping if you take food out sooner unless you shut the button. Not so user friendly. I loved my older moder which I had for over 20 years. I guess it just takes time as you get older to manage the newer products.

Looks great -- so far, so good. Just installed.

Too early for review or rating. One problem -- how do you put in less than 30 seconds. The numbers from 1 - 0 are for full minutes, and there is a 30 second choice. What if you want 15 or 20 seconds, etc. I'd appreciate an answer.

Good capacity

The minimum directions sent with microwave was poor. I find no instructions for power change. Items do not heat as well as my previous microwave.

GE 1.7 cubic ft Microwave

Just got this microwave today and love the looks of it. Did use it for dinner and worked very well! Still learning all the features but am very pleased!

Mounting to cabinet is a nightmare

This is my fourth GE microwave and they ALL had different locations for the power cord and the mounting bolts. I had to replace the bottom of the cabinet because of all the holes. It seems to me that GE COULD PLACE ALL OF THESE IN THE SAME PLACE, MAYBE RELOCATE SOME OF THE NEW TYPE OF ELECTRONIC PARTS. Maybe it is beyond GE engineering????

Longer heating time

Great size, only complaint is that it's maximum heating capability is minutes slower than my previous more basic model. Very disappointing considering the high price

In order for this microwave to be perfect for me, I would like to have a shelf to store my covers. The GE emblem could be somewhere else, I know it is centered in the door. The "Surface Light" can become very warm when left on for a while.

Good but not a fan of the vent

Overall, the product is good. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Express Cook features. I'm old-fashioned and prefer to put my own specific time in. It just makes it an extra step for me. Also, the automatic vent is OBNOXIOUS! If I'm cooking on the stove top or have the oven on, the vent automatically goes on after about 10 minutes. And in this day and age, it's way louder than it needs to be! My last microwave vented automatically but after a good 30-45 minutes of the stove top being on an...

perfectly adequate

This is a nice microwave, exactly what you expect out of a microwave. But when did a simple basic microwave get so expensive? its a flimsy metal box but so essential. After the installation the top is clearly bowed near the mounting bolts, seems there is little to no support other than the thin metal casing. otherwise no complaints, it cooks well and fits plenty.

Nice unit

Nice unit and it works well. Install was simple and looks good with the new stove.

Does the job

I'm surprised at how well this functions. I have just been using the microwave that came with the condo, which was apparently 15 years old. This new one is so quiet and heat up food so fast. It also has a clean, neutral, neutral look, that blends in well with every type of kitchen

GE microwave

Capacity is really good and pretty large inside. My main issue with it is that the vent noise is pretty significant compared to earlier models with same CFI rating. That is my only complaint other than that it is pretty standard with all the standard features

Clean looking and easy to operate. Works good, and happy with the purchase.

Up to Date

The new microwave replaces one that expired 2 years ago. The controls on the GE take a little getting used to, but they are highly effective, a pleasure to use.
