Overflow tube leaks past o-ring

I installed this on a Mansfield toilet. It was a good fit and included all the parts that I needed. the only problem is that the toilet leaks down to the level of the bottom half of the overflow tube after about 30 minutes. If left overnight the water level is at the top of the bottom half of the overflow tube so I know that is where the leak is.

50/50 Fluidmaster and Korky need to combine

Purchased this brand new. Used to repair tank to bowl leak for an American Standard Toilet. Finished install, very easy, instructions are good and detailed. Tank to bowl does not leak anymore, as I had to go back to Lowes to purchase a black 2-in seal as the red seal was too large, made tank rock not stable. Flapper assembly did not work properly, yes allowed toilet to flush, but 2-hrs later tank is empty. Had to go back to Lowes as I tried to just replace flapper, salesperson said they needed ...

Not very good replacement.

First, as others have experienced, the overflow tube leaks. Next, the flapper valve is not packaged flat and so it has a bend that doesn’t allow it seat properly causing it to leak. I had to replace it with the old one.

Does not work on Gerber

Installed this flush valve on a Gerber toilet. During flush cycle, water pours out all over the floor. Even following the installation instructions for the Gerber. Not my first time replacing flush valves either. Totally wasted my money and my time. DON'T BUY FOR A GERBER!

Easy to install

It was surprisingly easy to install. THere was some confusion with one of the parts- but I think I got by.

Good quality and for Kohler toilets and others.

I initially purchased the only "universal" kit available at another store by a different brand. After installation, the gasket leaked badly. I didn't realize the Kohler toilet required the special gasket that is included with this product. It is exactly what I needed for my Kohler toilet. The hand tool is also helpful. Good quality and not a single leak since installing myself.

Anyone can do this.

JUNK - DO NOT BUY

I can confirm that, as the other reviews state, this product is JUNK. Specifically, your toilet WILL leak water from the tank to the bowl, as the water level in the tank will only go as high as the inner tube of the flush valve. As a result, the reduced water level in the tank doesn't allow my toilet to flush properly. I wasted a lot of time trying to troubleshoot and wish I'd read the reviews first. Shame on Fluidmaster for selling this garbage. I'll be getting my refund today and never buyin...

Check the quality of the flapper before buying kit

It took me two extra trips to Lowe’s to get a flapper that wasn’t warped and would leak. They had very poor quality control at least with the flappers. The rest of the kit and directions were great.

Horrible design flaw with this flush valve

After installing this flush valve, the water slowly drains from the tank until the float drops enough for it to refill. This happens probably every 20-30 minutes. Thinking it was the flapper (even though it was brand new), I bought a different brand flapper and tried that. Still same problem. After some detective work, I figured out the problem. Bad Design

The adjustable overflow tube allows water to seep in-between the inner and outer tubes causing a leak into the bowl. I had to adjust the tank water height below the inside pipe. It took me a while to figure out why it was refilling the tank a few times a day. I suggest you buy one with a solid overflow and cut it.

Just in case I need to use it.

This was a back up solution with the flapper. Did not need to use it.
