Broke After 2 Years

Works great for a few years then leaks like any valve

I bought three of these and installed them to save some water and they worked great. However, after two years, the valve seals get uneven and it leaks like any old toilet valve. However, you can't buy just the valve so instead of costing $3 to repair it costs $30.

2 ways to flush!

This is a really cool unit! you lift up for one type of flush that requires less water and you push the lever down for more of a powerful flush. It works really well

Small Flush or Large Flush - Both work Great

What more can you ask for in a product. This lets you adjust as needed and it has a 5 year warranty. So if it breaks get a new one from there customer service. I have used mine for several years and I know the water usage is less from it. One broke and they sent me out a new one no issue.

Pretty easy install good product

Read the instructions carefully first, a bit unclear until you read the whole thing. Only issue is when you lift the handle for a partial flush it scrapes against the tank lid, wish the handle stuck out just a tad further. May not be a problem for your tank. A bit louder than the old unit it replaced.

Review of Fluidmaster Toilet Repair Kit

Not a big fan of this kit but once this style of flush mechanism is installed its hard to revert to another type because the seat at the bottom of the tank is slanted, not flat. That means to put something else in, the tank has to be fully drained and a new seal will have to be installed. My main objection to this device is I can never get the settings right to achieve a full flush or a 1/2 flush.

So Far, So Good

Ok, just installed and that was simple even for me. Adjusted the settings, did have to put more water in tank then the prescribed marked level. I did NOTICE it wouldn’t work with 3” flush valves and some other incompatible toilet fetures, so BEWARE!! Now works like a charm. Some reviews mentioned failed equipment after time and no water savings. Gave 5 stars, we will see...

Excellent product which performed as described- good instructions - saves well water- now thinking of doing same in second bathroom.

Hit & miss

Easy to install, the half flush feature works, but no matter how I tried to adjust it, I could never get the full flush to work properly. It seems to give a half flush as well

I had to glue the back connector to the handle because it kept slipping off when you flushed the toilet. Works well once that was done.

Dual flush

I had a minor leak in my last system so I decided to replace everything with this new kit and get the dual flush option. So far its nothing to write home about. the up flush for liquids works fine 100% of the time but the down flush for solids only works about 95% of the time especialy for loose stools. I am still modifying the flush to get it better so I hope it gets to what I'm expecting. Oh and remembering to flush up is my other issue.. force of habbit though.

When I was looking at this product, it looked like it would be a good item to install in my toilet. I bought it, took it home and installed it. It didn't work. I messed with it, adjusted what I could, then went back to Lowe's to read the box as I had already tossed mine. I have Duo Flush valves in two bathrooms. For the most part I have liked them. They have had some trouble though. The first one that I installed had the flush cable disconnect. not worth it

bought this a couple months ago and it hasn't saved me on the water bill like it states on the package. the plunger/lever gets stuck wide open and takes a while and a lot of juggling to close.

Failed after 6 months

Flush lever was squeaky and too much resistance to activate. After 6 months, the internal cable going from the lever to the valve broke/failed. Ended up changing valves to another brand. Now the fill valve purchased with this kit has also failed and the tank won't fill rapidly enough (like a trickle of water coming in). NOT HAPPY with fluidmaster products at this point! Original flush valves on toilets last 30+ YEARS without issue.

I bought this product, actually 3 for all my bathrooms. Easy to install and worked great for the first few months. I then had 2 of the bathrooms begin filling with water on their own without flushing but it is very minor. Do NOT BUY these, the flapper fails

I installed the Duoflush in September of 2016...within a few months the flapper started to stick open. You did not ever dare to leave the toilet because it could run all day. When it did this I would wiggle the handle and you could hear the flapper drop. Then a week ago I had to remove the tank top and physically reach in and drop the flapper by hand, the flush handle would not drop it. So, I thought it was a problem with the water and replaced the Duoflush with a brand new unit two days ago.......

Couple of issues over two years resolved by customer service

Works as advertised, takes a little tweaking to balance the hi/lo flush amounts and the subsequent bowl refill to be efficient. Original started ghost flushing after a year, was sent an updated design unit. This unit started ghost flushing a while ago and appears to be caused by the same problem - a clear/white silicone gasket ring on the bottom of the flush control develops dimples causing it to not seal properly .... CS sent out a replacement and a spare, fixed.
