Very sharp blade and good handle grip surface. I especially like that it has its own latching hard plastic blade cover. Right on, Fiskars!

Quality Hatchet
Would RecommendI needed a hatchet for firewood kindling. I looked at several and this one stood out for quality and price. It was also the only one that came with a carry/hang attachment. It's comfortable in your hand and the sharp blade makes kindling preparation a two-minute job.
Best Hatchet for the Money!
Would RecommendPacks a big punch for how light it is. I have two of them! You will not be disappointed with this hatchet. I also have a Fiskars splitting axe that works great for splitting wood. Unlike a heavy splitting maul that wears you out quick the light weight splitting axe allows you to take smaller swings and conserve energy.

Would RecommendI bought for my Boy Scout son but the quality is so good I might keep for myself. Extra sharp blade and easy to grip handle make it a good general use hatchet. Also the light weight is good for a BSA Scout to put in his pack. Awesome saftey carrying case also!

Would RecommendI bought this hatchet for making kindling from bulk purchased, split fire wood. It works great for that purpose. I also really like the shipping protector that it came in. It is easily reusable for storing the hatchet safely.
