The very first time I saw this I looked at the handle and thought NO WAY. I took it home later chopped thru an 8 inch fallen pine under 5 minutes reviews on YouTube demonstrate the thought of the handle no worries there. I was very impressywith the blade after I went through the pine the blade still cut paper the Fiskars hatchet is a great tool I highly recommend it over any other brands

The worst part about this product is making sure no one walks off with it. Simply the best hatchet I have ever had.

Good, but . . .

Owned mine for years without any problems. In fact, the chipping and dulling issues people mention were never an issue. My hatchet stayed sharp what seemed like for ever, as I don’t remember ever sharpening it. My problem was the handle. It was a cold morning with snow on the ground and I didn’t have any kindling so I went out to bust some. As I started using it in the extreme cold, the composite (plastic) handle broke. YMMV.

Awsome, and not 'Made in China'

Bought this to split kindling. Works very well for it. Not made in USA, but at least not made in China. I think it is made in Finland or Norway. Seems well made and very sharp.

Perfect Hatchet for Camping and around the House

I bought this hatchet specifically to add to my camping gear. It works perfect for camping and small jobs around the house. The weight balance feels great for chopping smaller chunks of wood and pounding stakes into the ground. The sheath is also a great addition and makes packing the hatchet safe and easy. Pricey, but worth it

I have a bunch of tree limbs that fall in my yard that I weekly have to go out and cut them into small pieces. I’ve used other brands like the cheaper kobalt but it’s heavier and doesn’t seem to be as sharp. I’ve only had this hatchet for about a month but so far, so good.

Campers friend

Purchased on way to camping and was impressed by how sharp and ease if handling. Included guard worked well too. The ergonomic handle assisted with grip and swing strength. Recommended.

Love this small hatchet, but while extremely durable, the handle isn't very comfortable and the blade cover is bulky. I bought a small leather sheath for mine. Great for the money. Excellent reputation

Pretty good but pricey

It cuts better than my old hatchet but the price was considerably more than a wooden handle normal hatchet. I do like the lifetime warranty so time will tell if it’s worth the extra upfront cost.
