Would RecommendThis is a great little tool. Comes sharp and ready to go, and it keeps and edge really well! The whole thing is weighted nicely. Easy to use and handle. Went out yesterday with friends and they all commented on how nice this hatchet was - everyone wanted to use it! I honestly was super impressed with it, it was taking down decent sized trees and limbs with little effort on my part. I highly recommend it for anyone who is in the market for a trusty, well-made hatchet. I'm going to go buy another ...

Super sharp and good weight for long term use
Would RecommendWhen I split wood I like to trim the bark. Previously I used a carpenter Hatchet, which was awesome, but the weight of the handle and the angle of that specialty hatchet made it dificult. With a regular hatchet you tend to get forearm fatigue but the weight of this handle is great for control and long term use. The blade was also super sharp and I kept the display cover to store it for protection.

Would RecommendThis is a fantastic little hatchet. It's light weight, very sharp (first time I've cut myself with a hatchet I didn't sharpen myself,) and it's very fun to use. I've used it for bushcrafting logs for a fire, used it to cut and split fat lighter, and I also split small logs (about 4-6") for fire starter. I wouldn't use it to chop down anything too large, but if you're looking for something to strap to the side of your backpack while camping or something to throw next to the fire starting box, thi...

Would Not RecommendThe loper failed so I used the hatchet. It got me through the project but the blade does not hold up well. Lots of nicks but the metal thickness saved the tool (I guess) since I will file to get the edge back. Fisher has great products for my wife's hobbies but yard work, not so much based on recent experience.

Great hatchet for camping
Would RecommendLightweight SHARP hatchet. I bought this for a camping trip and was able to use it in for several different things. Whether it was to cut limbs from fallen trees or splitting logs for the fire, this little guy did it. The carrying sheath is a nice plus to have as well. As one person stated this blade seemed to have gotten sharper over the course of using it. Plus it comes with a lifetime warranty, which is nice to know.

Would RecommendGreat hatchet! I got this for camping / cutting own firewood. Worked great for cutting smaller stuff and medium size wood. Very sharp blade and comfortable handle. The blade protector does a great job of protecting the blade and prevent injury, also make it easy to carry around. I Used a larger friskers axe for splitting. Also recommend the friskers blade sharpener. I have used the larger axe for years and looks like the hatchet is just as good. I am very happy with it!
