This little guy is truly micro, I could probably put 3 of them in one hand. New technology makes it so you don't ever change the battery. It has a 10 year plus life, and when it finally does start chirping, it's time to replace the whole unit. The smoke alarm is easy to mount with 2 screws and very light weight. There is nothing to dislike about this micro smoke alarm. From the packaging to how simple it is to install. Instructions are very easy. Basically pic a location, install mounting plate with two screws and snap alarm in place.

I received the First Alert Micro Smoke alarm as a promotion for my honest review. I like that the smoke alarm is small, and it will last for 10 years....you don't have to listen to that chirping noise once a year when the battery starts to go low. It was extremely easy to install. It is very stylish and not bulky to look at. First alert brand is high quality and always happy with the product. I will be replacing all my old smoke alarms with this micro style.
