constant false alarm

I have had MULTIPLE false alarms since changing to your smoke alarms and CO detectors… they are all in pristine condition and batteries recently changed… when the false alarm is triggered there is no talking to tell what alarm or what room… it has happened at 3am and in the middle of the night multiple times… my wife has epilepsy and being startled out of sleep is a seizure trigger… we replaced our old detectors with these because we have a 3 story 4000 square foot home and they were supposed to...

Purchase if you want false alarms during humidity

Bought a six pack about a year ago from Lowe's. Installation and programming were fairly straightforward (recommend wearing earplugs when setting up and testing). Since installing, we have had multiple false alarms (smoke) during periods when fog was present outside and windows were open (location is Southern CA). I think these would work fine in dry climates and/or if you never open windows. In our location, windows are open much of the year, and it is not unusual to have periods of fog. A...

Nearly ideal

Great product overall, but read the instructions before installing because it's kind of a pain getting back to the point where you can set the location. I like that it uses 2 AA cells instead of a 9V. I also like that its type is clearly marked as photoelectric; ionizing and photoelectric each have their advantages and dual types are available, but this was what I wanted.

Replacement for the same one that was installed. Worked perfectly

It can be either hardwired or battery operated.

It wasn't installed as hardwired but rather battery operated. The installer wasn't able to hardwire it but I have the wiring and instructions to hard wire it at a later date. However I feel safer knowing I'd be alerted if carbon monoxide is detected. .

Drains batteries

I bought the 6 pack of these, and hardwired them correctly. I have used several different brand new name brand batteries and I only seem to get about 4 months out of them before the conviently start chirping in the middle of the night of course. If I or the manufacturer can't figure anything I will be taking them down and replacing them.

Nonstop False Alarms!

We bought 7 of these, replacing the stock system in the house. After several false alarms, we replaced the batteries, had an electrician check wiring, and verified no fogs/smoke/CO2 were present. However, the nonstop false alarm continue and are not only disconcerting, they are obscene, waking us up in the middle of the night, and driving us crazy, one alarm at a time.

Designed to Fail

You’ll be lucky if you need to replace these in 3 years. They lose the ability to tell you what’s wrong within the 1st year and within the 2nd they just randomly. Replacing the batteries doesn’t work. Obviously no fires and the C02 levels were good

These suck

Constantly going off without anything happening. No cooking smoke, no fireplace, just constant random noise. Everyone in my family now ignores fire alarms because of so many false alarms.

Easy install

Convenient smoke/co combination. Very easy to wire and install. I replaces my two smoke (only) detectors with this one. It took less than 30 minutes to complete the install and put the tools back.
