Would Not RecommendThe wrong smoke detectors were in the box. My electrician had just finished installing them, when the last one started chirping. He cgecked it & ssked me for a 9-volt battery. I told him there are no 9-volts, it is a 10-yr sealed battery. Checked the box That is what it said was inside. Called the store & they said buy another box & after those are installed bring back the wrong one. Electrician just finished swapping them. I really hope the store takes these back.

Would RecommendWe bought 2 of these and installed in place if previous ones. After 24 hours 1 of them made the alarm go off in middle of night for no reason. Called First Alert and was told that it was defective. Had to take that one back for refund. We decided to just replace with a regular smoke detector since we already had a combo one in hallway near garage.

Worth it. For sure.
I needed 8 smoke detectors in by house between 2 floors. So I bought the contractor 6-pack and then bought 1 carbon monoxide detector for each floor. Very easy to install, including rewiring the new connectors. Honestly, I'm an idiot and it went without a hitch. I turned off the breaker and used a $12 Kobalt voltage detector to make sure I wasn't about to kill myself. The wiring took about 90 seconds and changing the mounting plate took anothe 30 seconds.
