I received the Fellowes shredder today. It was very easy to set up. And it's working great. It's replacing a Fellowes shredder that I had for about 10 years. I have been impressed by the continuing availability of the Fellowes customer support and by the reliability of the shredder itself. Sooo Quiet!

We had a DM12ct previously which was at least 8 years which performed amazingly well. It was powerful, and well built. This shredder is just as well built, has a great energy saving feature, and also is so amazingly quiet compared to the last one. The feed is slightly slower and it has a thickness sensor to prevent you from putting in too many sheets at one time. (With the old shredder, you wouldn't know it was going to jam until you had already put the paper in and it was feeding.) Overall a so...

Don't Buy 79Ci

Because is not a micro-shredder, the volume produced when shredding is huge. But capacity of bin is too small, so you end up having to hand-compact the shredded product and to empty the bin too often. And emptying the bin is very messy, so prepare to vacuum and clean after. If you have very little to shred, it can be ok, otherwise, don't buy it. Fellows 79i Shredder

We purchased a Fellows PS79Ci shredder on March 4, 2009 (9 1/2 years ago). It has worked like a charm, shredding everything. After 9 1/2 years, the motor was working as good as new, but the on/off switch started to wear out. It finally would not turn on. Gotta do something about those switches. We ordered our new 79Ci today.

bought for school setting

the printer was very easy to assemble. The students that shred for us found it very easy to use and it didn't jam up, we use the shredder for many hours a day and didn't have any problems with stopping or jamming! Great

Great shredder I have ever used!

I have been using this every day now for a very long time and have not had one problem with it nor have i had one jam! Like the title said , this is the best shredder i have ever brought or used.

Excellent Shredder!

I had my doubts before purchasing this paper shredder because I had 2 paper shredders before and both are very disappointing. Used it immediately it arrived and so far so good! Highly recommend this paper shredder.

Bin switch flimsy and broken

New shredder arrived today. Much anticipated. Bin open light stayed on with bin in. Determined bin switch activated by plastic "blade" molded onto bin. It was, of course, broken off so no matter what you did, the bin switch never was able to be "closed". So, the new machine is basically a brick. Waste of money. Poor design.

Excellent Shedder

This Home/office shedder (79Ci) has proved to be the best shredder I have ever purchased. I have NEVER had any sort of issue with this shedder which I purchased roughly 6 months. It never jams, is able to shred CD's and credit cards with a sense of total ease. IF you are looking for a shredder I highly recommend this product!!

We just received our new shredder today. It was packaged well and very east to set up. Our first impression is that it is a very well made product that should serve our needs. recommended .

Pretty Good Product

The shredder clearly works fine. I was just hoping that it could hold a larger number of sheets. Initially it accepted a larger amount, then half way through it stopped shredding. I had to take out some papers for it to continue. Other than that I am very pleased!

Excellent Shredder

I'm very happy with my new shredder. It's a little expensive but you get what you pay for. The only problem I'm finding is the difficulty I'm having in ordering supplies. Hopefully I'll be able to figure this part out rather quickly.

Excellent Product

I received product promptly as advertised. Shredder was well packaged and easy to set up. I have only had it for a couple of days, but am satisfied with convenience of use and easy of emptying the shredded material.

Durable Shredder

I like to make a purchase and be done with it. I want the product to last for several years after the purchase. A Fellowes shredder does the job, does the job well and it keeps on going and going and going...just give a little oil and that is all it requires. Thanks for a great shredder!

Finally a shredder that doesn't jam!

Have had it for only a few days, but already love it. Had tons of documents to shred for end of school year. Normally takes a long time due to having to stop and fix jams. This really will take up to 16 pages easily! I love it!!!

Best Choice

Our old shredder had been in use for over 3 years. We used it on a daily basis. It was terrific, never jammed and held quite a bit. We replaced it because the switch stopped working. We were happy with Fellowes so we purchased the same shredder.

Nice Touch screen display

It functions better than the old one. Plus the screen is nice once you get past the instructions for use and easy to put together.
