It's Okay

My Fellowes PS80C-2 finally kicked the bucket after about 30 years. It was simple, reliable, sturdy, and fast. I wanted to fix it, but found that it'd shredded a drive gear and replacement parts were no longer available. So. this 79ci was the closest I could find with good reviews and that was also locally available. It's okay, but slower, has a smaller catch basin, more complicated, and I've the sense it won't last nearly as long.

Well worth the price.

I researched many shredders, watched the video about it’s features and read the reviews. I always do this before purchasing a product. Love the safety features.

Loved this product SO much, I bought the product again

I initially bought a Fellowes Powershred 79Ci almost 9 years ago. I use it everyday for work and personal papers. Hence, it has had a considerable amount of use. When the reverse no longer worked, I searched to see if there was a shredder I might like better, but my research brought me back to buying this shredder again. I am delighted to find the current 79Ci shreds up to 16 pages at a time, whereas my old 79Ci shredded 13 pages at a time.

Compact unit that performs as expected. Have not stressed the unit to its max cutting/shredding limit.Nice to have wheels for mobility. Would recommend for home or small business. Not as quiet as I would have expected but acceptable.

Upgrading was good idea

The 16 page shredder is fantastic, we upgraded from our 10 year old Fellows 5-6 sheet, also keeps shredding for a longer period of time without overheating.

very good shredder

very nice shredder works great for the amount of time we've had it in the office. Good for shredding heavy duty papers cards etc. Have not had any issues, fills up pretty fast if you have a lot to shred but works great!

Excellent Shredder

This shredder does all that it states. I have owned the exact one before and loved it. It is new and improved and works great! It is quiet and jam-proof!

Love the size!

I just recently purchased Powershred 79Ci. It was so easy to assemble right out of the box. Just took a few minutes and I was ready to shred. So quiet compared to the one I replaced. Love the size of it. Does not take up much room and can easily slide under my desk. I also like the fact that I don’t have to worry if a staple or a paper clip goes thru and that I can shred up all that junk mail. You won’t be disappointed. It is a great shredder.

Powershred 79Ci Just a Shredder

The setup of the casters was a nightmare as I could not get them in place and had to struggle to get them in place so my shredder was standing. Not made for the elderly. The basket in time become brittle as it is plastic.

Clearly Strong, better than what I've had by a lot

I use this product for my home office. It's been reliable and strong. If I'm overloading, it has an obvious meter, but it takes a lot to do that. I love the confidence I have with this one compared to the ones I've had in the past.

Fantastic Shredder

WOW! I had a small Fellowes shredder before that lasted for over 15 years, and may still be working if I had not over fed so many times. But this one is UNBELIEVABLE! This 79ci is really great, and will probably last a lifetime.

Great Cross-Cut Shredder

Wow. This shredder is so much quieter than our old Fellowes. It easily shredded a 2 inch stack of papers in just a few minutes. I hope it lasts as long as our old one. We have had it 12 years and its still going strong, we just grew and needed a shredder that could handle more volume. :)

Well Priced

My medical office uses 2 Fellowes shredders ever day purging files as well as daily paper work. I just bought my third Fellowes shredder due to # 2 no longer completely doing the job after being used for 4 years. My first purchase is still in use. There was no question on my part as to which shredder to order as I have been so happy with the first 2 Fellowes shredders. THANK YOU!!

Good Quality Machine

We haven't had the machine very long, so time will tell how long it actually lasts. However, it seems to be a very solid, good quality machine. So far, we like how it operates and looks, and it is much more quiet than our previous shredder.The addition of waste bags will reduce mess, however, they add to environmental waste. We will likely not use bags.

impressive

First impressions lead me to give this a 5 star rating. It appears to be a solid performer & I was surprised at how quiet it was. What was important to me during the selection period was that I would be able to empty the bin effortlessly. The 6 gallon pull out bin is great. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it if it lives up to it's jam proof claim.
