What a joy to use your paper shredder. A friend gave me a shredder made by one of your competitors. VERY frustrating to use, jammed constantly......the fellowes machine is a dream to use, well built, very very impressed with its operation!

bought the 79Ci model of shredder because i need to shred 12 - 16 pages at a time. this is heavy duty and works great. glad i made this purchase. if you need a good shredder go with this one.

Satisfaction and Safety

Just replaced our Fellowes shredder with another new Fellowes shredder after using every day in my office for over 9 years. The other MAIN reason we buy Fellowes shredders is the fact it has the safety if anyone (small children or out pets or others with long hair, etc.) stops in and should accidentally go near this shredder it immediately stops. Clumsy Bag and Minimal Storage

This is the second Fellowes shredder that I have purchased for the office. This Fellowes shredder bags do not fit nicely in the receptacle. You have to really fight it to get the plastic liner bag to fit inside. The receptacle for catching shredded paper doesn't seem to work very well as it fills up very quickly again I think it is a poor design. I did just minimal shredding and I had to open the door and push the shredded paper down before I could continue. Not thrilled with this unit.

So quiet

Really pleased with the new shredder, so quiet, cant believe it! Its on casters too, which is a handy feature. Highly recommend it.

Hope this is as good as my old 64C

I just purchased a new 79Ci as a replacement for my old 64C which lasted about 7 years and was great until the motor finally burned out. Think I used it for too long a time and the indicator went Red and stayed red every time I tried to use if after that. The shredder would go backward for a second but never forward. I guess it finally went. However, when I had it for the approx. 7 years, I used it a lot and it always worked well. Just bought a replacement which is advertised as a little stronge...

I was wondering if this model will be good enough for what I need to do and will grow with our business. So I went ahead and bought this model. It is not only very durable, but it's keeping up with my demands. I'm very happy that I bought this product.

The Fellowes 79Ci shredder is new to me but I had a backlog to shred. It handled paper, envelopes, credit card fed gently for 20 minutes. I was quite pleased. And it rolls so I can store it and roll it out to shred.. Very convenient! Fair product

This product is supposed to be jam proof but as soo as I used it it jammed a few times. Not sure what is going on.

Huge upgrade over previous basic shredder

Great shredder! I have been used to using < $100 basic home shredders, so this is a huge upgrade. The sturdy metal shredding teeth are much more durable than cheaper machines. The 16 sheet capacity makes bigger jobs quicker. The features of the Safesense (turns off motor if fingers touch feed slot) and Jam Proof (automatic reversing and refeeding if a jam is detected) are not necessary, but add to the worry free and speedy operation of the machine. I am now the proud owner of my 2nd Powershred 79Ci. The first one we have owned for approximately 7 years. It was getting a bit tired, but is now in my husbands shop for his use. I have had this shredder for only just 2 weeks now and it runs so quietly I don't even knows it is running. Just AWESOME!

Very Disappointed

All the reviews on this were great so I decided to spend the money to get one, Got it home and it doesn't work. Says the door is open, NO matter what I did, I couldn't get it to go green. Need to return this and am hesitant to even get the same item. I was looking for something bigger, quiet and better than my little shredder I have from Staples. Super disappointed

machine works well. has not shut off for cooling because i typically use 5-10 pgs for shredding. not the full amt. it is pretty quick and very quiet.

best shredder

Best shredder! Quiet, doesn't jam has automatic shut off. I have little grandchildren and that was a big concern. Would highly recommend this shredder for home use
