Powershred 79Ci Jam Proof Shredder

I've only used it 4 times but it worked perfectly every time. Great product.

LOVE IT

Just unboxed it and plugged it in. Much quieter and faster than our previous shredder. Looking forward to using it a lot in the future.

Happy with purchase

Decided to go with a better name brand and happy I did! love the features on this product especially the power saver. Caught up with all our shredding with no problems. Love the fact I was given instructions on how to oil the product with a small bottle included.

The Powershred 79Ci: A Fine Home-Sized Shredder

The 79Ci is an ideal home-sized shredder....Have used it since Nov 2015 and has met most all my needs. Great value for the dollar....No problems with the unit at all when used as directed. Top quality, very quiet with a high jam resistance.

Powershred® 79Ci - Awesome purchase

I have been using this shredder for a couple of weeks now. I had a large amount of papers, some CD's and old credit cards that had accumulated and this shredder ate them up like magic. It is relatively quiet considering what it is doing and so far extremely dependable. It is very well made and is perfect for my needs. I scan anything important and then feed them to the shredder.

Solid machine

This machine is a very well built unit........feels heavy duty and the reason I purchased it was for the shredding capacity as well as the price point. This was a refurbished machine. I did spend more than I wanted, however, I knew the Fellowes name is quality and was willing to spend more for the longevity.

Bad power switch

I bought my PS-79ci shredder about 8-1/2 years ago. It worked great for the first few years but they it got hard to turn on. After a few tries with the switch it would finally start but over the last few years it has taken more tries with the power button to get it to turn on. Now it won't turn on completely at all. It will momentarily light up and stay on for about 2-3 seconds but then turn off. This is poor quality to me. Even thought the shredder is 8-1/2 years old I haven't used it to its fu...

Best Shredder Ever

This is the best shredder that we have ever owned. It is worth a little extra money to have such a great item. It is nice and quiet too!!!

Great and safe shredder

PowerShred 79Ci is just what I needed...I have tried other brands and was disappointed! This shredder I can use without any problem and I have arthritis in hands and am over 70yrs old! My grandchildren like to help me shred and it safe for them too! So glad I found this shredder for all the papers I must shred like mine and my relatives personal papers! It really is the "World's Toughest Shredder"!

Great Product!

This is the second Fellowes shredder we've purchased for our small office. The previous one lasted 8 years!! We have tried other shredders, but have found them to be junk, for lack of a better word. Now, I'm spoiled and will only buy this brand due to their durability, features, selection, and price. Definitely would recommend!!

Great Shredder so far

So far I am very pleased with this purchase. I bought my 79Ci about 2 months ago. It made it through my annual tax time cleanup where I shred 100's of papers (some with staples) at a time, without an issue. I am most impressed with how quiet it is compared to my old shredder. The sheet capacity is also impressive. This is a work horse for any home or small office. The basket helps a great deal minimizing the mess.

Does the job without fail

Solid, dependable machine that shreds quickly and quietly. I am very pleased with the jam-resistant feature. Although I was reluctant to buy a bigger machine than my last one, this was a smart move. More durable, easier to use, and can roll wherever I need to work. The drawer is much better for controlling mess and emptying the shredded paper than the machines that have the shredder directly over a plastic trash can. Good product,

Works well for home office. Only significant improvements would be narrower shredded strips and some means of preventing paper shreds from getting lodged between the removable basket and the sides and bottom of the shredder body, which creates a bit of a mess when the basket is removed for disposal of the shreddings.

A Great Shredder

This is a great shredder if you need a compact one -- and one that moves easily on wheels without tipping -- mine rolls on a tightly woven rug with no problem. The auto paper thickness measurement works well and clearly warns if you've loaded in too much. It's reasonably quiet and can also chew up credit cards and CDRs, though I haven't tried that yet. Pros: Easy to Use, Features, Performance, will meet and exceed expectations, Mess Reduction, Quality Construction, Safety Features, Secure Cut Size, Sheet Capacity. Worked on the first try. Not all I had hoped for

I purchased this machine for shredding paper to use as bedding in a llama operation. It is very time consuming to use this machine. After about 4 bins of shredded paper, I have to wait for it to cool down. I shred paper every 2 weeks, and it takes me a good 3 days to get the volume I need shredded.
