Not Worth It

I bought this to start fires in our log stove. They aren't really made to start logs, whether they are medium sized or split; it just takes too many to get them started.

Worth every penny

It did what it said. It produces a generous flame to light up the wood. This is better than the sawdust and wax product I was using by far. I used this for backyard camp fire not fireplace, but I don’t know why that would matter

Quick Start and Smells Great

These work great. Light easily and gets fire started quickly. I love the smell too.

Easy to use

We have used these in our home fireplace and camping. They are the best starters we have ever used including others by Enviro-Log. The secret is to use small pieces of kindling that is dry. Put larger wood on the bottom, then kindling, and place the candle cup on top. Lay some "tinder" alongside the cup and light. Never fails to work with only one cup.

Great fire starter

I found that these work the best for me. I like that they burn longer. The wax will run and spread the fire down the logs. I will put a small piece of cardboard or paper below the wax cup. To catch any dripping wax and continues to help start the fire.

They burn long enough and big enough that they work great! They will start punk wood or a sturdy hard wood. Can't beat 'em!

Works great

This boy scout get tired of messing with newspaper & kindling. We burn enough wood to make these worth the cost to get a quick & steady fire.

We have used roughly half of these cups, and are about ready to buy another box. We have noticed it takes a minute to light the rim of the cup, but once it's lit we have FIRE!! Would definitely recommend to a friend or family!!

Great product and easy to use.

I use to try to start a fire in my wood burning stone with paper. Using paper caused a lot of smoke to escape into my home. This fire starter cuts way down on the smelly smoke that escapes before you get a good fire started.

This product lights easily, but burns up too fast. If well dried wood or kindling is not used the product will not get the fire going and retreatment is needed. Also, there has to be adequate ventilation for the product to stay lit until it expires. Best to create a little tent or air pocket at base of wood before lighting. Still, it is a fast, way to start a fire without a lot of bother.

Worked pretty good...

Smells nice & light up quickly-lasts about 10 minutes for burn time & helped get the fire going - I had to use more than one to get it started but, once I did I was able to maintain the fire overnight!!!

Best fire starters on the market!!

I have a fireplace insert that we use daily all winter. With the paper cup wrappers they come in, these things light immediately and get the fire going every time, unlike those brick-like starters that need a blowtorch. These starters deserve more than five stars for the "ease of use" category - I would highly recommend them!!
