Handy gadget

Works like a charm. Just plug it in your well house outlet and plug your heat lamp into this device and it kicks on when it's needed and off when it's not.

Very handy

I leave it plugged in to heat lamps in my well pump house to keep the water softener and filtration system from freezing. Makes things so easy. I don't have to worry about it, when the temperature drops, the lamps come on. Saves electricity too.

EasyHeat works

The EasyHeat Freeze Free Pipe Heat Cable Controller works great. Used it in the wellhouse to keep the water pump from freezing. Easy and quick install, plugged in a lamp, temps in the 20s at night and no problem with pump freezing!

Great product

When the winter storm came we were so thankful that we found this replacement item at Lowes. Several people in our community had problems with frozen pipes and water pumps This temperature regulated device was great

Easy heat freeze free

This device activates at 38 degrees and stays active to 59 degrees.This makes it ideal for use in a well house with a heater, heat lamp, or a light bulb. It can also be used to help pets warm. I use this also to heat a small greenhouse.

Didn't Last Very Long

I bought this heat controller to power a light bulb in my well house to keep the water lines coming out of the well from freezing. It worked initially, but after a couple of months we had some really cold weather (for us, in the teens) and when I went out to check on it, nothing. The receptacle had power and the bulb was good. I put it in our freezer just to make sure, and it still would not come on. I had to find another product.

Do not work at all

Bought three to put in a houseboat on the Chesapeake Bay to keep interior pipes and a water heater from freezing. I can monitor temps remotely via a web based system. Two nights in a row, inside temps dropped into the high 20's, and none of the three heaters ever came on. These are worthless, and put me at risk of incurring expensive repairs. I purchased some electronic digital thermostats made by LuxWin that are more expensive, but they work.

EasyHeat Thermostat

Installed outside at distribution panel for freeze protection with self-limiting cable and heated hose for animal water tanks. It turns on at about 32-33 Deg.F and off at about 34-35 Deg.F. With narrow dead band it will save on kw usage. Protected from weather with kitchen size garbage bag and one 5 gal. bucket.

Roof heat cable controller

Use this item to turn on the aquarium heaters we use to keep the Hummingbird feeders from freezing during cold weather. Controller is not suited for wet weather, so must be placed in some type of sheltered location.

Did not work

I brought this today and put it on my heat lamp in my well house. When out tonight to check at 14* outside and lamp was not on. I checked the lamp and it was fine but would not work in plugged into the Easy Heat EH38 Pre-Set Thermostat .. So I hooked up my lamp without this unit to keep my pipes from freezing. I bung the EH38 into the house to test it out. I stuck in in the freezer for a minute and when I took it out I plugged it in asap and the light on the EH38 would not come on and it would n...
