Would RecommendI use them with heat lamps in a well house and they work well. I had two lamps on a single controller for years and this year that controller stuck in the on position. Fixed by tapping on it, but bought two more and put one lamp per controller just in case one failed.

Would Not RecommendI bought 3 for three different locations -- need to keep well & spigots from freezing and thought a thermostat would save energy. None came on. I plugged them into several locations in different buildings and the power indicator light never came on (maybe that happens only when they activate?). Regardless, after waiting for 20 minutes at 25 deg it still wasn't working, so I plugged the well light back in without it.

Would RecommendPlugged unit in at 30 degrees and powered 100 watt bulb immediately. unit cycled off but did not come back on overnight. Returning for a replacement. Maybe old stock? Box was dusty when purchased.
