I have been using braided pressure hoses for many years. I think the auto shut off is a good idea. I will see if it works over the life of this hose. Very easy install and the quality of the hose is top notch.

good idea

i like the idea of having a device that well shut off if a line bursts. i tried to install into my system but i found out that my line is a 3/8 and not a 1/4 in line.

Flood Defender Works !

I recently replaced the supply valve in my wall for my refrigerator, in that process I noticed how old and stiff my supply line was to my refrigerator, this line was only 5 foot long and was a little short in order to access the back side. Didn’t get this product

Since I didn’t receive this product even though it was shipped, I put in a review with a pictures of my dog Petey! He is really cute. I have used these lines before and the anti flood feature is awesome!

Needs instructions

This was installed by delivery people, but didnt work. We were told to hold water dispenser for a few minutes to let air out if hose. 45 minutes later, still no water. Found no instructions, so disconnected the line and saw there was no water in the hose, reconnected at less than full pressure and it was fine. Think someone should have known that, directions would have been nice and made this easier.

Incomplete directions...still works

Here are some comments about this item: 1. I’m sorry people had problems with it. We did too. 2. Thank you for your comment to restart the water valve slowly. That is a key for us to resolve this same problem mentioned - that is to have water flow through this hose upon connecting it to a brand new fridge. (We could not get the water dispenser on fridge to dispense water.) 3. If you cannot get the hose to dispense water, you need to take it off and the shut-off valve resets itself. 4. Additional...

We got this for a new fridge, was not aware you have to turn water on slowly. We thought something was broken on the new fridge. Now back to Lowe’s to find one that is not a pain. Bought 1/23/2021

Trash product

Just like all the other complaints..this line is useless. Literally doesn't work. Take it off, reset, put back on 100 times and it'll never work still. Quit selling this trash Lowe's.

Could not get it to work

When I used the water from the fridge it would shut off. Do lot recommend

I paid more for this device because I wanted to reduce the possibility of water damage to my home. This peice was so tempermental, after multiple attempts, I gave up trying to turn the water on slowly enough to allow the water to pass. I was in a time crunch when I purchased this device and ended up wasting more time. This was my fault because I did not read the reviews prior to purchase but hopefully this commentary helps someone else.

Product ok; instructions need improvement

Product seems good (only just installed), but instructions for new installations could be improved. Instructions only say turn the water on slowly after resetting, not when installing new. I installed on a brand new fridge and the valve tripped and it took me a while to figure out the water needs to be turned on slowly from the beginning or it trips the valve and no water. GE's poor instructions on starting up water on a new fridge didn't help, but that is a separate matter...you all need to be ...

Junk

Does not come with any instructions and does not tell you what way the supply comes from. Couldnt get it to work either way. Just buy one without the flood preventer.
