No Good

braded cover kinked and punctured rubber hose and leaked all over the place.

It's not Flood Defender It's Flood Maker

I've never had an Ice maker hose burst before this one. Within 12 hours of installation the check valve in the hose that is supposed to keep it from flooding in case of a break developed a pin hole leak and flooded the kitchen.

Good feature

I was always concerned about the old copper pipe that I had for my refrigerator but now happy. No concern about braking no concern about flood. Thank you Eastman you are good guy. I forgot to mention just turned on the water very slowly.

Nice bit added bulk

This was quick and easy to install. Used a small adjustable wrench and a few minutes of time. Nice branded hose so there is no worrying about kinks. The added leak protection is a great piece of mind addition. The fact it can be reset is great, my only issue is the unit keeps me from pushing my fridge all the way back agains the wall as tight as it was. Would have been nice if the protection was further from the end so my fridge could be pushed back further. Other than that I am happy with t...

Don't buy unless you have endless time to spare

After spending 2 hours to run it through my crawl space to a maniblock, it shut off the water supply as i guess too much water passed through in too short of a time. I ended up buying the cheaper one without the shutoff attachment and that one works perfectly.

TIme to get rid of the cooper line

This compression icemaker line was the perfect replacement for a old worn out copper line. Installation of this line was a dream. It took longer to remove the copper line than it did to put this line on. You wont regret your decision to buy it!

Very durable

Very durable braided line. I hope I never need the flood defender burst detector feature but it’s a good idea. Eastman has always made good high quality products. I’ve never had any issues with their products. This is another quality product in my opinion.

Peace of mind to save $$

Same EASY install on this refrigerator water line that is designed to save thousands on repairs in the event of an unexpected water pressure change. Great item for unoccupied properties like a weekend cabin, vacation homes, etc. Also a great item if your kitchen is located above other floors!

Great feauture for a icemaker water line

These anti burst icemaker lines are crucial as the factory lines tend to let go, the shut off feature of this particular item is great for a non shut off scenario(older home)

1/4" braided ice maker connector

This product was easy to install. It gives me added security that a water line breakage will take longer to occur with the braided housing. The fittings worked well with my connections.

Simple install! Super long 10' metal braided line. Metal housing on the control valve. Rubber washers make for sure sealed install without tread tape. Standard 1/4" fittings. Easy install and great peace of mind. This flood stopping control valve takes away a worry for me, especially when we're on vacation! Great Product

I installed this new ice maker supply hose in less than 10 minutes, using only one wrench. I had no problems with it stopping during installation, because after connecting, I opened the water valve very slowly and also bled out the air by running water through the in-door cold water dispenser.The 10-ft length was handy when pulling the refrigerator out from the wall, for cleaning, etc.
