Love it!!!!

Love this Dyson. Have owned others before that I wasn’t happy with, but this one is great. Very strong does a great job on floors and carpets. I was amazed with my first time use on how much it pulled out of the carpet. Has a very large bin and a very long running capacity compared to most others. Able to do my entire home on one charge. Really impressed with its power.

Best Dyson Version To Date!

When I first learned there was no trigger, I thought oh this might be annoying, but quite the opposite. I actually like not having to keep a trigger pressed to vacuum. Very good idea…the suction is amazing and in the auto mode it changes seamlessly between rugs and tile quickly! Light weight long lasting battery allows me to vacuum 3,000 sq ft of living space.

I really love how well my carpets and floors are being cleaned by my Dyson. I thought at first it wouldn’t clean my area rugs, but found if I turned it to eco mode it worked just fine. I like how the attachments go off and on so easily. On my last vacuum, I gave up removing attachments because it was so difficult to do. Not great

Vacuum head is too small and the suction is inconsistent. It randomly goes into high mode and my entire floor is hard wood.

That vacuum is art! I love it except for just minor things. It’s heavy to move back and forth, it’s a workout . Also, the head for carpet and wood floor, scratches my floor so I have to constantly switch heads. And one of my carpets neither head works on it. Not sure why

BIgger not always better

Its ok. A bit heavy but suction strong and the new surface on the large vacuum head has a foam strip that is some what grippy to the floor and doesnt glide easily making the work of vacuuming greater.

Gen5 Detect Absolute

so far so good! Coming from V8 Absolute and it does not disappoint.

Awesome attachment

Absolutely in love with the lighted attachment. I'm obsessed with seeing everything to get off my floor. I only wish I didn't have to switch when I want to go to carpet.

Works great it has just as much suction as my old Dyson floor vacuum.

The best Dyson on the market

I absolutely love, love, LOVE this machine. It deep cleans like no other—seriously, the results are unreal. Every time I use it, I’m amazed at how much dirt it pulls up and how fresh everything looks afterward. It’s powerful, easy to use, and makes cleaning feel effortless instead of exhausting. Yes, I bought this a week ago. The fifth generation thinking it was gonna be great. I have A yellow lab who Has a lot of hair dropped off him and I’ve used both brushes one made for wooden floors And also used the one with the brushes and I seem like I’m going back after I vacuum one I have to turn around and it seems like it doesn’t pick it all up. I’m just kind of disappointed with the whole thing. Guess I’m gonna have to go back to the cord Vacuum

Very Good Vacuum Cleaner

I've had this vacuum for about a month and used it twice. I love the performance of the vacuum cleaner, but I think the hard surface attachment should have been the same size as the carpet attachment, though you can use the carpet attachment for hard surfaces too. Having two batteries is a great plus. Thanks Dyson!

Small hard surface cleaner head

This is the fifth Dyson vac we've owned. There appears to be false advertising with this model. While they say the cleaning head is over 12 inches, that only applies to the carpet head. the hard surface head is only 9 inches. This is not mentioned. We really wanted a large hard surface cleaner.

Did a lot of research but regret this purchase

I really don’t know how a vacuum this expensive could be so mediocre. Suction is okay. Battery is good. The bin holds enough to pick up the dirt and fur from 3 dogs. However, you can’t clean the roller, gross. And it doesn’t work on any of my area rugs it just turns off because there’s no air to suction :( waste of money

Thought I ordered the outsize , but mistakenly ordered the detect. There are too many different models to choose from. I wanted the biggest, most powerful vac and wanted to get the same model I had ordered several times before. Just too old and make mistakes daily. Not the fault of Dyson, that I hit the wrong button.

Best overall

Easily the top vac for power and suction, hands down will pick up more simply for that fact alone. ALSO its non illuminated beater bar creates a superior seal between it and the floor no matter the floor type, hardwood being best suited but not limited to. The green laser stuff is just to drive you insane basically, unless you wet mop everyday no vacum can pick up those micro fuzzies stuck to the floor, I’ve tried.
