Would Not RecommendAs a long time lover of the Dyson this really disappoints. It’s heavy and awkward. It actually has to much suction for the carpet and it turns the roller off. There’s no trigger so once that happens you have to turn it on and off again numerous times while vacuuming one room even on Echo. I love the hard wood floor attachment but it is so small it takes a lot of time to do a small area. And the price not worth it over 1k. I just really expected more from Dyson.

Great investment
I purchased my Next Gen about 2 weeks ago. The green light technology was an eye opener. The hard floor head is quiet and does a great job of picking up the dog hair and dirt. I like the auto setting for suction based on need. Not having a trigger is awesome since my hands are too big for my previous 8 Dyson. I ended up cracking the housing over time due to lack of space for my hand. I highly recommend the Next Gen.

Would RecommendI have had the machine for about a month. I have had several Dyson stick vacuums so I have had a lot to compare to. I felt like this one was a bit heavier than I expected. However, I got used to it. I do absolutely love having an on off button rather than a trigger. It seems to have very good suction. It is nimble to use. I like the fluffy head and laser for the hard floors. All in all there is a lot I like about it and not hardly anything I don't like.

Gen5 Dyson is great!
I am pleased that I purchased the Gen5 Dyson as it has proven to be better than the older V11 Dyson that it replaced. Particularly useful is the light on the hard floor cleaner. It reveals dust and debris that heretofore went unnoticed. The automatic suction control is convenient and certainly makes for longer battery life.

Love this Dyson, suction +, the light on the brush head for flat floors is the amazing!!! Quiet as far as vacuums go, 2 batteries recommend. The way the brush head rotates to get in tight places, corners, crevices-super. 1 recommendation: after 30 minutes of use the hard plastic rubs the arm raw. Adding some soft cushioning around the handle grip between area that comes in to contact with webbing between thumb and forefinger would be +++

Would Not RecommendI bought my Dyson and it doesn't work. Did the troubleshooting with CS and they need to send me new party that they don't have in stock. I have to send mine back and wait 15 business days for another I think that is ridiculous. I should have just returned it and bought one at a retail store at this rate

Would Recommendexceeds expectations. previous battery vacs only lasted a short time and lacked in suction, even old Dyson. this has as much as my plugin, super easy to use, came with 2 batteries easy to swap out and each battery runs a little over 30 min. so far, very happy. (it is a little noise but not bad)
