Hours of effortless runtime

My Debo plug-in has been officially retired. Our home has a combination of hardwood, tile, area rugs, stair runners, and deep pile carpets in the upstairs. AND we’ve got furry pets. LOUD

I am not sure if my vacum is defective but it is the loudest one I have ever ouned. I mean REALLY loud! As far as far as how it works it is great really powerfull

Great Features

Love the larger head and absolutely love the hair screw attachment for my dog beds I wish every attachment had the light Very happy with the suction and ease of the Crevice attachment within the regular head Only complaint is you must turn the vacuum off and on again to restart the spinning of the regular attachment after using the crevice tool. Effective but heavy

The top end is extremely heavy. I had not realized how heavy it would be to manoever. Otherwise it is fabulous. Sucks up much more than my other vacuums. Next time I would buy the smaller reservoir and empty it more frequently. My housekeeper will not use it as she says her arms hurt too much.

Overall -- it's a winner!!

Dyson Heavy Duty Portable

Had it about 6 weeks. The first issue is the instructions as far as where the attachments are it was like hide and seek. The 2nd thing I did not realize saying that it had a longer run time was you had a second battery, maybe I missed it in the initial write up, and the 3rd issue as compared to my other portable it is heavy, and the 4th is it does not like thin area rugs, and does not match up with carpeting to the AC units power.. Dyson Gen5outsize Absolute - overall satisfation

Excellent suction, battery life is not as great as expected, I get around 35 min per charge. Attachments are great and convenient in that you just pull out and the brush is present. The Dyson has noted issues related to a noise the cleaner head makes.Filtration is top notch. This Dyson, though large and heavier than most, is very maneuverable.

Great functionality except handle design

I purchased this in the last couple of months after my 3 year old V10 motor gave up. I had good success with previous Dysons so, didn’t want to give up on this brand with one bad experience. After much research I chose the Gen5detect Absolute. I am so happy I did! The sanction on this vac is far superior to my previous cordless vac plus, it is a lot quieter on hard floors. The green light detect makes me borderline obsessive about floor cleanliness but, it is nice to see what you are vacuum...

Iam a true Dyson Van I have bought five Dysons ever sense they started selling Dysons The Gen 5 absolute what can I say there great I didn’t need a new Dyson but wanted to up grade all my Dysons still work great

Overall great

I wish the attachment for the hard floor was wider. I actually thought it was going to be. I do like the extended battery life and bigger canister size. I should be a product tester because I have a Great Pyrenees and it tests all the limits! This is our 5th Dyson- which in my opinion is the best for a house that has an indoor Pyrenees!

Terrible vibrations

Overall I’m not happy with this purchase. The beater bar has horrible vibrations and is unusable for hardwood floors. (Which 90% of my house is) I have had Dyson send out a new head and it was a little better but it is still not usable. Frustrating that the expense of a stick vac doesn’t come through in quality or functionality. This is the 3rd stick vac I have and by far the worse one.

Great features

I just bought this vacuum last month & I am loving it so far..I love the suction.. I am amazed at the amount of particles that has been in my carpet all these years...the only issue I have is removing the attachment stick to empty the vacuum.

Weight of the Gen5outsize

I have had this vaccum for a couple of weeks now and love everything about it EXCEPT the weight. I will get used to it but it was surprising. The vaccum does a fantastic job of getting all of the dust, dog hair etc off the floor and I am able to vaccum the entire house twice before changing the battery.

Awesome vacuum!

I upgraded to this version and I love it. The ability to use the attachments like a hand held vacuum is an added bonus. There are three options for suction strength which is great!

Love this Vacuum! Best thing i bought all year.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. At first, it seemed like this was really heavy, but the vacuum is so will balanced. The battery life is amazing. The versatility is awesome and I am using it every day.
