Very powerful vacuum

I really like this it appears to have as good suction as our old plug-in vacuum. Works very well and both floor type attachments are great.

Light at the end of the vacuum

We love the illuminated vacuum head that shows how effective the vacuum is at cleaning hard surfaces.

Works well but suction out of control

Long time user of Dyson products. I’ve always loved them. But The suction on this one is just too much. It renders it practically useless for my rugs and carpet. The suction force is so strong that the heads stop spinning. It’s fantastic for hardwoods, but even the carpet attachment doesn’t work well. It might be time to put an actual motor on the heads

Great Vacuum but little worried long term.

Love this vacuum. Only thing I see so far is where the collection container attaches to the long tube that goes down to the heads it is really wobbly there. I feel like there is a lot of pressure there when you vacuum and not sure that's going to hold up. That should be a solid connection point. It may be because you can quick remove to create a shorter pole there but it does wobble quite a bit there. I assume its supposed to be like that?

Great machine

I love my Dyson gen 5 outsize, it’s a little top heavy but I figure at 66 I need the workout. It works out because it takes me half the time because the head is wider. It picks up like my plug in Dyson. I love it

Amazing vacuum

I bought this recently and immediately started using it. I cannot believe what I thought was clean before - this vacuum is picking up floor dust and dirt particles that I now know has never been picked up by my previous vacuum.

Not usable for rugs/thin carpets

Bought this vacuum a month ago, and every time the vacuum is used on a carpet, the vacuum shuts off. Using any attachment.

I love this Dyson. So smooth running, quiet and lightweight. My previous corded Dyson I had for 25 years and never had a problem with it until now.

So far so good

Sig if isn’t improvement over our V10. Hopefully the case doesn’t crack and the battery doesn’t develop a dead cell like our V10 did. The green light on the hard floor head makes it fun to vacuum again.

Great features, but some key downfalls

Convenient package with great suction and good user experience during use with the extension. Noise leaves are low! Battery seems to last through all of our tasks. The wall mount, on the other hand, is very poorly designed as you can’t store the included attachments at the same time, and it’s very rickety on the wall after installation even though the wall plate is very tightly mounted.

This Vacuum Really Sucks!

This vacuum SUCKS………All the dirt right up into your vacuum. Outstanding suction power in comparison to our older Dyson. Very pleased with the results this product provides.

Excellent choice

We traded our old model for this new one. This is an amazing vacuum. It does everything. It says it does. The attachments are awesome. The battery lasts a long time. The filtration is just amazing the maneuverability it goes everywhere and the suction is completely the best I’ve seen yet.

Wow this thing is amazing! This is my 3rd Dyson—I love them. The suction on this is very powerful and picks up the finest dust particles my last one didn’t seem to get. The house feels cleaner than ever before. Expensive but worth it.
