Do not fully open

Bought this to secure cement bits in my hammer drill. The chuck appears well made. It secured the bits and worked well in my application until I inadvertently opened the chuck to maximum. It jammed and will not close. Searching on-line for a solution, I learned that this has been a problem with this chuck sine it was introduced. Dewalt has yet to come up with a fix. Do not waste your money. Buy drill bits with 1/4 hex instead.

Chuck won’t give up my unibit lol

Bought it to make things easier at work ended up making it worse ,got to admit tho before it got stuck on the chuck i was loving it,after the issue i hate it.

Sucks

Bought this to try and make things easier at work,got my unibit stuck which is more expensive than the chuck itself trying to figure out how to disassemble the chuck

No surprizes

I expected no surprizes with this purchase and the Rotary Chuck Adapter provided me with outstanding results when in use.

Stuck open

I bought this, worked alright for an hour. Now it is stuck open. It will not close to fit around the bit. Ive tried everything. Seems like many are having an issue with it not releasing the bit, but mine is doing the opposite. Very flawed product. I'll be returning it.

Not Great

I bought this for my impact in order not to have to carry both drill and impact but was disappointed because it wouldn't release my drill bit. I have been in construction for a long time and know how to release a bit but couldnt get it to work. DeWalt is all i use and have rarely ever been disappointed in a product as much as this one.

Expensive Piece of Junk

I have a bit stuck in the Chuck for nearly a year now. Backing the Chuck up only removes the impact stem attachment. Everyone is having the same issue - why hasn’t DeWalt addressed this as of yet. Because of this I won’t buy another DeWalt product simply due to the lack of quality.

Great product except...

It's a great product except that it has a tendency to break when using it with an impact drill. I used it once with a uni-bit in my impact drill to drill out a hole in sheet metal a little bigger. The adapter jammed and I could not use it again as it would not tighten down on another drill bit. I had to return it for a new one.

Love the idea, needs to go back to R&D.

Love the idea of this adapter but the overall design is a little flawed. Ended up tigging the adapter to the chuck to avoid the hex bit unthreading out of the chuck. Now it operates perfect. Having the hex-bit portion threaded into the chuck probably looked good in CAD... but without any retention device, it just screws right out. Boo. Expected more from Dewalt and Japan.

Will not function or adjust to open or close. Wasted cost of unit. Bad product. Do not purchase.

Locks up bits stuck on tool

I bought this tool almost 2 weeks ago first time using it and my bit is stuck i do not recommend getting this tool or using it

Very good chuck

I have been using this chuck constantly for the last month and find that it works well with both large and small diameter drills. It does a good drilling any size hole.

Works Great

Works as designed. A little on the heavy end though.
