Ratings & Reviews for DEWALT Titanium Nitride coated HSS Oscillating Tool Blade
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The oscillating tool blade appears to be better suited for softer materials like wood and laminate flooring, rather than for cutting through harder metals. Many users reported the blade dulling or breaking quickly, even after just a few uses on metal. The product seems to be of poor quality and not recommended for heavy-duty metal cutting tasks. Customers suggest investing in a more durable, carbide-tipped blade if metal cutting is the primary need.

Would RecommendPurchased one of these blades for my multi-tool to cut away the screw housing on a stainless steel hose clamp in a tight quarters location. It did the job quite quickly and with good precision.

A cut above
Would RecommendI bought this while cutting the bottoms off door jams before installing new flooring. The wood-only cutter lost all its teeth after encountering a nail. Using this cutter, the nails and door jam molding were no match. Stayed sharp for the half-dozen doorways I used it on. Do not try to use it for the outside corner metal drywall protector - it will just vibrate and ruin your spackle. I suggest an angle grinder with a diamond blade for that.

Waste of money
Would Not RecommendBought this blade and a comparable Dremel version because I had a little bit of red brick poking out at the base of a fireplace and needed to trim it to neatly install a tile hearth. Two blades, same price. Started with the Dewalt and in pretty much no time the teeth were gone and it was useless for the project. Switched to the other one and had no problem trimming the protruding brick on both sides of the fireplace.
Exploratory cuts
Would RecommendPrefect for making the smallest exploratory view cuts into areas of unknown materials.

made the cut
Would RecommendThis got through the 7 roofing nails I needed to cut off some 2x4's. It wasn't super fast, but eventually it worked. I had initially bought a cheaper no-name version (half the cost), but it didn't cut through, so this DeWalt one is much better. Worth the price. It fit nicely in my Dremel MultiMax.

Bathroom job
Would RecommendI had to replace a bath light and Vent combination. The old unit was strapped between the sheet rock and the ceiling joist. This blade on my Dewalt Cordless cut the old straps quickly and smoothly even with the joist edge.

Doesn't last
Would Not RecommendI didn't make it through one piece of barn door track before it wore out. It is not good for cutting steel bar and for the price I paid for it it should have lasted longer.

Soft metal only
Would Not RecommendCut off 20 roofing nails with this. No teeth left, I'm not impressed.
Terrible Blade
Would Not RecommendBought 2 blades to cut out old flooring. Blades only cut 2 boards each before teeth were gone. Will never buy this blade again.
Wore down teeth after 2 small cuts in thin metal.
Would Not RecommendA bit disappointed with this blade, especially for the price. I used it to cut two rectangular holes on the back slide of a metal cabinet. The holes were about 2" by 4". The metal thickness was about 1/16". Already dulled the cutting teeth.
