Would RecommendOverall great tool. DeWalt is stupid expensive. A combo tool with the new higher amp batteries is ridiculously priced. However if you don’t have the higher amp batteries, this thing will eat up the normal 20v battery that Dewalt originally used.

Amazing planer
I have only had this planer for a few weeks and I can say it works like a charm. I have used it on walnut and hard maple and the cuts are precise and glass smooth. I would highly recommend this to anyone in need of a hand planer.

I threw out my hand tool after buying this!
Would RecommendI did not throw out my planer... but could. I recently put up multiple decks. The most recent one I decided to by this planer to cut down in time leveling out the joists before putting the decking on. What normally would be a day of sweat, cursing, and exhaustion with a 6 foot level turned into 2 hrs max on a 16 ft by 18 ft platform.

Would RecommendI am so pleased with this Planer. I elected to add an adapt the dust collector port to attach it to a 6 gallon vac. which allows for longer use than using the O.E.M. dust bag .

Would Not RecommendWorks fine really should fire the guy at Dewalt that said to sell it without the dust bag not so handy to have to type a shop vac hose to it to collect all the dust makes it a major pain to maneuver would not buy again
