Good for the Price

A little difficult to get the router into the plunging base but once attached it works perfectly! Great product for the price.

pros and cons

pros: very powerful, soft start is great, price is good, i use fixed bade under table mounted, which is great for me cons: plunge attachment seems difficult to maneuver, (this could just me since is never used one before)

Good so far

This is my first router and I have only used it once. Worked great on my 2x2s. Used it to flush up some edges.

Great Router

I love using this Dewalt router on my Bosch router table and using it as one might say free style. Easy to use. A beginner would have no problems with this unit.

This is the best router I have used in a while. I use it mostly on Red Oak with no problem.

Just what he wanted

My husband wanted a router, I guessed on this as a gift. Turns out it’s just what he wanted.

parts missing, doesn't work

I am really disappointed in this purchase. The first time my husband went to try it he discovered a major part missing so the router would not work. I will be returning it.

The directions are not very good. You have to figure some of it out yourself.

The only problem i had was it was not designed to fit on my router table other than that it is great

The vibration of the router knocks loose the plunge lock, and the dust boot doesn’t stay in place. I expected a bit more.

Beast!

This is a beast with a 1/4 and 1/2 inch collet. Adjustable speed and let me tell you, its got speed and power. Great product.

Spindle lock button failed!

Spindle lock button allows for single-wrench bit changes, and the long, self-releasing 8-slotted collets offer better bit retention and eliminate frozen bits ----- I bought this at Lowes, used it for 15 seconds of routing. The new bit broke. I found the spindle lock button went misaligned. There is a major flaw in the design or construction quality, and the reason for my bit to break. I had to use two wrenches to release the broken bit. Lowes at the most will return for me, but will Dewalt chang...

Excellent ergonomics

I'm using this with a Leigh dovetail jig. Weight, power, handles, on/off switch are just right. Especially the on/off switch: just push it with my thumb. I like the power of my Triton router, but its on/off switch is a real pain compared with this.
