missing 1/2” collet

Missing 1/2” collet, all the rest seems like its present. This is one of the reasons I decided on the 618, capability to use both sizes bits. Phone number said 5-7 business days after email reply received, no email inquirey. They suggest return if its needed sooner. This review based only on unboxing disappointment.

Good product but wasmissing one of the collets Lowes seemed to have no way to resolve this problem

Great router

I had zero experience with a router but wanted to make some signs out of wood I had laying around. I asked a friend what they would recommend and they pointed me to this router. Glad they did, works like a charm.

Great Gift

I bought this product for my husband and he has been loving it. The product came with a nice carrying case to hold all the parts. He has been using it to help build a table. This is his first router so there is a bit of leaning he needs to do but overall, he seems to be figuring it out. Good router

Nice, quality, heavy duty router. It did all that I needed done, and was ready for more.

Just add bits and start cutting.

Big Kit, Does anything as long as there is an outlet

1/2 collet damaged out of box

Router bit slipped first time used. No amount of cleaning or checking would stop slippage. I own 15 routers and have been using routers for commercial cabinets. Never had this problem. Returned after 1 day. No more Dewalt products for me.

New router user and loving it!

This router is adjustable up or down when mounted fixed in a router table. That was a surprise to my husband. I purchased this tool for myself. I'd never used a router. I love it. Easy to use. Spindle lock is a nice feature and router easily unlocks from base when mounted in a table to change collet or bits.

Not the same DeWalt of years past

Admittedly I'm not a professional carpenter but I'm not a complete dummy about machinery either. I bought this router 3 years ago and I probably don't have a combined total of 1 1/2 hours of use on it. The motor began to run intermittently for about 10 seconds and then just completely died. I'm done with DeWalt!
