Works Great

This variable speed bench grinder is perfect for sharpening lawnmower blades, axes, and hatchets. Attach a wire wheel to clean off old parts quickly. My bench grinder has seen a lot of action and it has worked perfectly every time. I highly recommend this product.

Quiet and variable speed is great

Bought this after my 18 year old craftsman finally gave in. Delta's instructions are more than less desirable but some patience and just looking at the box you'll get it together. I like the variable speed and don't remember my old one this quiet when new but I also don't remember a lot about yesterday. The light is great and the shields are over sized allowing a very clear sight while grinding.

Decent

Nice for homeowner use. Took 1 star off for ABSOLUTELY terrible and incomplete directions for tool rest and spark guard install. Save yourself an hour and YouTube it first.

Best for the price

Ball bearing induction motor,great light,and variable speed sold me on this. This grinder will undoubtedly outlast me. I sharpen turning tools on it,mower blades,cold chisel. The vibration that others have noticed is inherit in most grinders,and it's the stones,not the tool. Delta buys their stones just like we do,except in bulk. Some will be better than others. Great grinder

This is a great grinder for the price strong, heavy duty, and reliable I have no issues with it

Decent grinder at a fair price

Good quality and nice to have the variable speed control. Only downside is that the tool rests are a bit flimsy and lightweight. Overall a good buy

Good machine, tool rests need to be improved.

Assembly went well. However sharpening a chisel was difficult because of the tool rests. It was difficult to get the rests at the proper angle and the rest for the fine grit wheel doesn't do any good except for angle grinding.

Good for home use

This certainly isn't an industrial strength grinder, but it is pretty ideal for general home use. I love the variable speed option so I can tailor the rpm to whatever I'm grinding on. It doesn't vibrate and I haven't yet bolted it to the bench yet. It's fairly quiet too. It meets my needs quite well.

It work better than I expected it to. Easy to assemble too.

Very noisy

Got this thing put together and bolted down. Turned it on and pulled the plug out. This was so noisy I was afraid to turn it back on. Will be taking it back in the morning.

Delta 6-in. Bench Grinder

Pleasantly surprised. After looking at dozens online, and seeing mostly negative reports on the 50 buck and under offerings, I bought this one. Doesn't vibrate much. Doesn't walk. Light could use larger than 40 watt, but not recommended, according to manual. I'd rate this as an entry level grinder, and is adequate for sharpening up to mower blades. Light may be used independently from grinder on/off switch. Good value.

Great Little Bench Grinder

Very sturdy that you don't have to screw down onto workbench. Just the right size for the things we need to do. Delta is a reputable brand also.

Bought this recently and have used it several times. Good lighting and very useful. Has really done well with various tools needing sharpening.
