Good grinder for the DIY person and home use.

Appears sturdy. Compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of room on your work bench. Has some weight to it so it doesn’t walk around the table during operation. Time will tell on durability but appears well built. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the assembly instructions in the user guide. Simply awful!! Small single view picture with no closeup detail. If it weren’t for the picture on the box I would have struggled with assembling and attaching the tool rest and eye shields. ...

Eeeh...not so great.

Having 2 fixed speed grinders, I had been wanting a nice variable speed grinder for sharpening chisels and lathe tools for some time now. 3rd time a charm!

The reviews on this Delta variable speed bench grinder pretty accurate. Delta used to be made in the USA. This overseas made unit is not Delta quality. The big issue is excessive noise, wobble and vibration. Bought this for my lawn mower blades. Usually did by hand with a Dremel. Took a long time but with this grinder much faster Motor does lag a little bit so you have to watch your pressure Still a great tool wish I bought it sooner

excellent design: quiet with low vibration

Good quality and sturdy. Very low vibration even at the highest RPM setting. The only disliked feature is the light requiring to use an A15 or smaller sized light bulb. (Most household lightbulbs are the standard A19.) Mine also has a missing washer in the package. These are the two reasons that result in a 4-star rating; otherwise, it would easily be a 5-star product. Variable speed in a grinder is a big deal. Great Home Grinder

This is a great grinder for home use. I would recommend the 8 inch if you plan on doing a lot of grinding. The varible speed is just fantastic. I would recommend this product

Easy for Home Use

I'm familiar with setting hardware up and it took me about 40 minutes. If you're dependent on instructions, the manual is not good. The grinder is good for home use and I especially like the adjustable speed.

Must have for a home user

I have had another brand, which stopped working and it appeared to be a switch. I decided to get this one in addition to the existing, since I'm hoping to repair it pretty soon, and I didn't regret. It's priceless to be able to use lower speed, it lets me finish sharpening my tools while keeping them better. Great Grinder

Great grinder; worked well sharpening my chisels, knives, and ax. Some slight vibration during use, but it will should go away once I mount it to my workbench. It doesn't take up too much space and is light enough for me to move around my workshop if I dont permanently mount it.
