What Customers Are Saying
The Cobra flat tape sewer rod is a useful tool for clearing clogged drains and sewer lines. Many customers found it effective at removing blockages, especially in straight pipes, and appreciated its compact design. However, some reported issues when dealing with bends or turns in the pipes, and the plastic housing was seen as a potential weak point. Overall, it is a budget-friendly option for basic drain clearing, but may not be suitable for more complex plumbing problems.

Would Not RecommendWe bought this to unclog a garage drain. Although we did end up getting about 5 gallons of rocks and nut hulls out of the drain (squirrels), the drain is still clogged. It doesn't spin in the drain as easily as the snakes that are made out of round spring style tubes.

Before buying read carefully
Would RecommendSpecifically states: Clears sewer outlets, stack vents and storm gutters. Note this is not for toilets, not for sinks or tubs. A lot of people are leaving negative comments about use of this product on other than the recommended uses. Bottom line for use on sewer outlets, stack vents, storm gutters the product works great. My only con is the plastic head, which is easily remedied by switching out the head.
Cleared it out
Would RecommendIt works
Would RecommendSome clogs just aren't going away with chemicals dumped down the drain. This is the solution. The only problem is it's hard to maneuver past elbows.
It does the job.
Would RecommendI'll never use a coil snake again. The flat snake is the way to go. Tough enough to get through, won't coil up over itself. I learned my lesson the hard way. Don't waste your money. buy this first.
Worked Perfectly
Would RecommendThreaded this guy towards our septic tank when a 25 foot rod wouldn't reach the clog, busted through it all the way to the septic tank, and now our lines are clear!
It did the job I wanted it to
Would RecommendI had a clogged main trunk line under my house. After several attempts to unclog it, the plug of soap residue broke free. It saved me an expensive bill from a plumber. It was worth the effort.

Couldn't get it to make 90 deg bend.
Would Not RecommendWhile this snake seems well constructed and may work great with gentle bends, try as I might I just couldn't get it past the 1st 90 deg tee about 4 ft. down in a toilet pipe no matter how I twisted and turned it. The 50' music-wire type I bought the at the same time got past the bend and far beyond just fine.
Well worth the money.
Would RecommendThis product is very strong yet feeds through without binding or bending. Easy to feed back into the holder.

Works well on straight pipe only
Would Not RecommendI bought this quite some time ago and have tried to use it a few times. It's pretty much useless for the purposed I need but if you have a straight run it should work fine for you. .If you are trying to use in in your inside pipes that have bends and traps or if you have bends In your main line then there are much better products available. I think its the fact that they used a cheap plastic spear point instead of putting a roller head on it that would prevent it from getting hung up on bends.
very sturdy
Would RecommendWe had hard time getting it in toilet so its not the best for that! But if you wanted to put down a bigger pipe to find clog it would be good for sure! Nice that its all kept in the ring that has plastic around it!

Easy to use and practical design
Would RecommendThis main drain snake was easy to use and clean in a messy situation. Unfortunately it was only 40 foot long and the clog was at 60 foot so I had to call Mr. Rooter anyway to get the sewer clogs flowing again. It would be a great tool if the clog was within 49 feet

Works well, but . . .
Would RecommendThe sewer rod works very well but the case is pretty cheap and you need to be careful when unspooling the rod and then spooling it back into the case after use.

Good value for the price
Would RecommendI had a 15 foot round snake but it didn't reach where the clog was. This being the only longer one in the store, l bought it. The snake is very stiff to the point it would not twist once stretched out. It is hard to get through turns in pipe. I worked with it and finally got it through a 45 degree turn. When winding it back the plastic case wanted to separate making it very hard t wind. Make sure you have a good grip on the case while rewinding. I was able to clear my pipe and now it runs free. ...

Good, Easy to Use Product
Would RecommendI've used several different types of sewer rods. This one is one of the easiest to use because it is lightweight, flexible, and seems durable. I am concerned about future durability however with the plastic parts, including the tip and case. So far, it has proven to be reliable. Rolling up the rod when completed was the most difficult challenge as the plastic was difficult to align. Once you get it started thought, it works nicely.

Great Design
Would RecommendI saw this auger in the store and never saw this type of design before, I liked the way that the flat rod was stored in the convenient plastic case and could be reeled out or back into the case by simply turning the round portion of the case while holding the stationary portion. No more bulky rod in the way that you have to find a place to store! I bought this item, tried it out and it worked like a champ! I would definitely recommend this auger to a friend!

Good Product
Would RecommendCleared issue without having to pay plumber. It wraps it self in case so you don't have to touch it when you pull it out f your clogged pipe.

Good for finding the blockage... Not for fixing.
Would Not RecommendThe product is of good quality. I'm my experience, I found the blockage easily, even punched a hole in the blockage by working the tape back and forth until water flowed through the drain pipe. However, it was a very temporary fix. It soon plugged back up. I decided to rent a tool instead. That worked. Perhaps the manual coiled spring type drain line cleaner would have done the trick since it can be rotated while in the drain tube,
