Needs an immediate modification

The tape and head are well made. One major design flaw was the spear like tip that came to a point. Initially the tip got caught on any joint connection and would not go past the first 90. I took a pair of pliers and cut about 1/4 inch off of the tip and ran 38 feet through the lines no problem. The reel mechanism is cheaply made but does the job.

Cobra stick saved me

The Cobra stick was good, i was recommended any female to keep one of these around the house it's a life saver.

Great for small blockage, not for roots. I Like how it rolls up.

it lasted 10 minutes

I had a pretty hard clog. I used this drain snake, and the plastic tip broke off, and I couldnt get it to retract back i to the housing. Luckily Lowes has a very fair return Policy.

It broke

Thankfully we won't need it since it broke as soon as my husband finished using it. It should be made better for what it's used for...

Perfect for the job

I would classify this as a light to medium duty snake. The metal band bends a little easier than I was hoping, but that only meant that I had to work the clog for a little longer. I did have to re-thread it back into the carrier, which isn’t easy, but that isn’t a foul on the tool. Just a foul on me pulling the band out farther than I needed to. Only con is the plastic tip won’t take to much to damage. If you have a packed clog....it may not make it through...

Did what expected

Tool did what I expected it to do. It poked thru the clog by entering in thru garden tub clean out for my clean out auger to get thru the clog and remove it! Note this tool is sturdy enough to go thru most clogs but is only intended to poke thru not clean out, due to it only having an arrow head ripe auger tip! The reel is a little flimsy due to it being made of plastic but if you take your time reeling it up you will not have many issues!

Saved me a lot of money

The reason this saved me a lot of money I honestly had no idea what I was doing to get a clogged pipe undone so I could not have my house backed up full of poop water. I called around to see how much it would have been but ever estimate was around $300.So I youtube how to get the pipe unclogged and this was the best money I spent on something for my house.

Great product

This drain snake is great. Price is good, works as expected. Item description is misleading as the snake itself is stainless steel, the only plastic is the attached tip. This would have gotten 5 stars if the attached tip was made of metal, but it iis still a great product. Would definitely recommend this for anyone needing a good quality snake

poor steel

Bought to clear out my drain. Ran down sewer line thought I had broke thru but all it did was bend into ribbon candy shape. Steel is to flexible to break up clogged pipes.

right tool for the right job

This product worked well. It was much easier to handle than my old spring snake.

Works well

I had a clogged sink. Bought this item, 40 ft long. Went down the vent well, was able to feel the clog at about 39 ft. Took a little effort to punch through the clog, but it got the job done. Save around 70 to 100 dollars on a plumber call out. I do recommend this item.

Product went right down the drain and opened clog. Good results.

Could use a larger and to unblock things or have attachable different size ends
