Would RecommendJust purchased today and used it on the grill tonight. The digital temperature is displayed in 3-4 seconds. You start to get a feel for it really quickly. In addition to preset meat temperatures, it has a user temperature where you can custom set your desired temp. It rings with an alarm when it hits the desired temp. I had several pieces of meat with different thickness. It allowed me to pull the thinner pieces off early when they were done to avoid over cooking while cooking the thicker ones t...
Built well and display is decent
Would Not RecommendI bought this mainly for steaks and roasts. I had a tendency to over cook as they often keep cooking after removed from the grill. Unfortunately the lowest setting for beef is "145 Deg" which is called Medium Rare. My definition if Med Rare is 130 to 135. Therefor the alarm is useless for my use.

PERFECT Tool in the kitchen or on the grill
Awesome tool. It makes for the perfect grilled tenderloin, or chicken. The alarm and the instant reading is just what I needed. So good that I gifted to my adult sons, as well. It made for being the PERFECT way to keep my outdoorsy men from poking and slicing the meat during cooking, to check for doneness.
