Set your user temp

I set the user temp to 190 F so I can check my baked goods, especially loaves of bread. When the internal temp is 190 to 200 F, the bread is done. The long temp sensor will easily get to the center of a loaf. I have been using this for about 3 years and cannot bake without it.

Even a Caveman could use it

I'm 68 but I've never used a digital meat thermometer before. This is very simple to use! I set it for PORK and knew exactly when it was ready to remove from the grill. The chops were moist and tender, and the taste was fantastic. I highly recommend this for beginners and professionals alike.

Works Excellent

I bought 3, after trying one. Cooking steak night at local VFW. Cooking 4 Types of Beef Steak, Pork Steaks, & 10 oz Hamburger Steaks on gas fired slotted grill. Used 1 for each type of meat. Got nothing but raves for matching requests. 30-60 customers every week. Great for chops and roasts too!

So far this one is my fav, very quick reading, better than any amazon brands that ive tried (looks like theyre all from china, same style different fake brand names) you won't regret if you buy this one. This is 2nd one that i order because first one got washed with water and electronics got destroyed, so be careful its not water resistant. I hope char broil will make same kind only water proof.

Nice thermometer

Great thermometer however the instructions do not tell you how to change the doneness levels it only refers you to the chart. You need to tap the "set" button when set to beef for example.

Thermometer works great. I just wish it had a hold feature so it kept the temp on the screen once you removed it from the meat.

Very Nice BBQ Thermometer

Was upset when my other (not Char-Broil) electronic thermometer broke after 6 months. Decided to upgrade to a better one. Am happy with the Char-Broil. Seems better built than the cheapy one. Like the tone when temp is reached. Easy to use, with a user-set temp option. Takes the guess work out of cooking...you know when it is cooked properly.
