Didn't think I'd like it, but I love it.

Sooo easy to set-up with the MyQ app. Great picture quality during the day. Infrared hitting garage door kind of blind it at night.

Falls just a little short.

Easy to set up. Works quick, out of the box. The biggest miss, is it can only work on one door. If the bridge allows for two, I think this would have been a huge selling point. That being said, i would but it again.

I only need the key pad that would work with my garage door opener

Terrible- battery dies fast, always going offline

Sick of the messages saying keypad is offline. Even more annoying is the battery: it only lasts for a week or so, and charging requires removing the keypad (screwed on). There's no way to attach a solar panel or external power. Took a while to figure out how to get codes to work. Awful, get a universal keypad and a camera.

Great Keypad/camera

Great video quality, can see night or day through video quality. The set up process was really smooth. Able to access the app/video on multiple phones. Accessing the garage with key pad works great for kids that don’t have a house key. Would definitely recommend this camera/key pad.

Recommendation to make this item better

I like my new keypad, however, there is one major flaw in the design. I purchased the external power adapter which provides constant power to the device, but in order to use the adapter you must remove the unit's battery. This is fine as long as your power never goes out at home, however, this renders the battery backup feature for opening the garage in an emergency useless. If my child comes home from school and the power has gone out or a circuit breaker has tripped, they have no way to get...

Great concept but poor WiFi

I purchased the Smart Garage Video Keypad a couple of years ago and it works well other than the WiFi card inside. On my 2nd replaced unit and it is the same situation. My WiFi router is literally in the next room and still I only get a poor to fair signal. Tried using only 2.4 GHz, also enabled Legacy WiFi mode etc...No luck. I am not sure why the WiFi is so weak on these devices, I missed videos that should have been captured. It is very concerning as I have a backup camera inside my gara...

Awesome addition to my home security.

Simple to program and set-up, short battery life!

The battery doesn't last long! Connection to my router is weak, even with my router right on the other side of the wall! It never has more than two bars! Note, I have recently purchased the electric direct connect and wired it up! The other issue with the essential yearly video plan is that it should have been mentioned at the time of purchase!

The quality and sound is amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is set up to pic on garage door which I did not keep instead I used for kids play room. The battery last a long time and if anybody walked by the camera it 🚨 asap. The quality and sound is amazing. The speaker works great because it’s like walkie talkies! Recommend

Not Built for Florida Sun – Plastic Failing Over C

I’ve had the MyQ Video Keypad installed outside my garage, and unfortunately the materials just don’t seem designed for Florida’s sun and heat. After some time outside, the plastic covering the camera has started delaminating, which makes the video feed cloudy and difficult to see through. On top of that, the entire unit has noticeably yellowed, giving it a worn, cheap appearance much sooner than expected. To be fair, the keypad itself still works fine and responds properly when entering codes....

Not very reliable

We purchased MyQ video key pad (MyQ-k40txxw), after 6 months of use we found battery life to be terrible! Every 2 weeks back on the charger. Vs Arlo cams which are excellent. Also after the free trial where everything worked wonderfully we opted out of subscription. After that nothing worked well.all notifications stopped, WiFi delayed, and overall performance terrible.
