Would Not RecommendI have had remote keypads from various manufacturers for various openers since they first came out and they have always been reliable in the past. This one is not and its unpredictability can not only be extremely frustrating, it can leave you out locked out of your house if you are using it for sole access, so don't. Shameful that this is the best Lift Master can offer to its customers. Love my (3) Lift Master openers, but this key pad is horrible!

Great features; poor reliability
Would Not RecommendUnit has great features, like being able to program short term guest codes. However, like other reviewers, my unit works intermittently. It will consistently close my garage. For a while it would open the door after several attempts. Now will not open the door at all even after several trouble shooting attempts (i.e. battery change, etc.)

works intermittently
Would Not RecommendMy 877 MAX worked well for 2 years. In the last 4 months I never know when it will work. I tried reprogramming the code and it will not accept a new one. Now it is not working at all. After reading other reviews it seems that this is a common issue with this particular unit.

Another Bad Keypad Story
Would Not RecommendInstalled wireless remote on new doors in 2005. Have been having intermittent problems with it ever since. You never know if it will close or open the door. Was going to replace it, but after reading other reviews, I'm not sure it is worth the time or money.

Disappointed in Witeless Keypad
Would Not RecommendPurchased a brand new garage door opener a few years ago. Even purchased the myQ Home Bridge. Everything has worked great, but now the wireless outdoor keypad barely works. Works less than half the time, even though we don’t use it often. Most the button numbers do not work. Very disappointed that I have to buy another one.

Opener Good -- Keypad Stopped Working
Would Not RecommendWe have the liftmaster door opener and keypad. The opener has been great. I'm very frustrated though because the keypad randomly stopped accepting the code. I know the transmission works because you can hit enter to close the door, but it won't accept a code to open it. I check out these reviews and see lots of the same issue. Clearly there is a trend and a problem. I just want to be able to reliably have the keypad work so my kids can get in the house through the garage. I hope liftmaster fixes...

Keypad stopped working
Would Not RecommendAfter having the new garage door opener with the keypad for about a year and a half, this past January, the keypad just stopped working. It will close the door by pressing enter, but will not open it. It is advertised as "long lasting" I don't consider 1 1/2 yrs long lasting. Have changed battery and tried reprograming to no avail

I regret purchasing this item
Would Not RecommendAfter having the keypad for a couple of years, it became unreliable. It would allow the garage door to open, but not close. I recently had the springs on the garage door replaced. I asked the technician to inspect the keypad. He said the keypad was done working and was reluctant to have me replace it with the same one because of the cost involved. Thinking my situation was unique; I decided to have it replaced. I regret purchasing another keypad after reading all the bad reviews on this keypad. ...

Stopped working!
Would Not RecommendInstalled this last July and already it no longer works consistently. I changed the batteries and it lights up but only opens the door 1/2 of the time.

Keyless keypad #855
Would Not RecommendPurchased this keypad 2/5/18 and it stopped working today 3/5/19. Tried changing battery and nothing worked. This is the second one I purchased. It’s wonderful convenience when it works!

Frustrated
Would Not RecommendWe bought the opener about 3 years ago and everything has been great except the outdoor key pad. We started having issues with it after about a year. Between constantly changing batteries and it simply not taking the access code, we are very frustrated. Spending another $40 plus for something that will probably do the same thing again is not right. There has to be another alternative.

Keypad code stopped working. Button Issue?
Would RecommendOur keypad started not working, consistently in the past few weeks. Sometimes it would take the PIN code and others it would not. It would just flash after I entered the PIN code. Tried changing the code, but it didn't seem to take. Then, after I removed it from the wall, it started working with the new code. I think there maybe an issue with the number buttons. I am sure they wear over the years. No info on the webpage for trouble shooting. I am assuming I will just need to order a new unit.

Keypad not working first time
Would RecommendWe have problem same as many other reviewers: Great GDO but the external keypad gives lots of problems anytime it is cold. This past Sunday, it took at least 8 tries before it opened. Suspecting that some buttons were bad, I had changed the code as well as battery 4 months ago, but now back to same issue. This website is not giving any solutions here, so can someone reach out to me?

Keypad wears out.
Would Not RecommendHad for few years and code quit working to open but would close after opening when enter pushed. Tried to reset with same code but no luck. Read online buttons wear out on keypad so I reset with number buttons I hadn’t used previously , then it worked. Have to follow instructions carefully to reset code. Hold enter button for awhile after entering on pad and wait for light to flash on moter. I have dual doors. Will have to replace keypad when no buttons no longer work. Reprogramming instructions...

Same problems as others report
Would Not Recommend1) It stops working. It lights up just fine and looks like it always does when it was working but it doesn't operate the garage door. Going through the setup and programing again doesn't make any difference. A new battery doesn't make any difference. Liftmaster support admits it typically has to be replaced periodically. 2) If located where exposed to rain, water gets in at the top and runs down inside. The battery compartment at the bottom is a water collector. It seems to me this is likely ...
