The rose gold trim on the coffee maker (where the coffee comes through the filter to the carafe) chips off. Bought extra warranty and contacted GE for replacement. They refuse to replace stating "This warranty does not cover appearance items such as dents, scratches, rust, trim, painted/porcelain finishes and non-operational defects." Brews hot and delicious tasting coffee!

Love this coffee maker! Delivers smooth and great tasting coffee comparing to other brands I've bought of lessor price ranges. Only issue experienced is it stops functioning after a year to a year and a half for some reason. Where other coffee makers last way longer. I've purchased 3 of these by now. Using filtered water is recommendable.

I love coffee and I absolutely love Cafe Specialty Drip Coffee Maker. My children got it for me for Mother's Day and I will say I wasn't sure at first if I was going to like it, as I have always used Cuisinart coffee makers. I am very very happy with my Cafe Specialty Drip Coffee Maker it makes the perfect cup of coffee every time and the carafe keeps it warm for a couple of hours.

Looks Great but Doesn't Last

This is our second CAFE drip coffee maker. The 1st one stopped working altogether within 14 months. Luckily Cafe replaced the entire unit at no cost to us even though it was out of warranty. We have had the second one for about 17 months and the handle on the carafe has split and is coming unattached at the top and the copper coating bubbling and coming off. Looks great and makes fine coffee but doesn't last.

Handle Peeled Off

Would Not Recommend

All good except the "copper" finish on the pot handle keeps peeling off. I've had one replace under warranty, but the replacement unit also peeled off. I do not abuse the product and I've never put it in the dishwasher. I would've thrown it away without looking back if it was not this expensive. (yes, this is the most expensive coffee maker I've ever owned).

Great features!!!

I just made my first coffee, it was delicious. Can't get over the features. It was hot enough for my taste. I have been looking for a machine that actually performs like it should. I love my coffee hot, not warm. This is a keeper. Café line is it.

Reviewed after about 3 years of owning it: as so many have noted, the handle of the carafe has gradually been chipping off. A bit of a nuisance until today, when a piece of metallic actually got lodged in my husband’s finger that I had to remove with tweezers. Bad product

Loved this coffee maker until it came to descale. Followed the direction but light won’t go off and now it stopped working. Just gives error message. This is such a disappointment considering the cost of the product. I would not recommend buying it!

Stopped working in less than two years

Very dissatisfied with this product. I loved how it worked but stopped brewing in less than two years regular usage. They tell me it is not repairable. I thought for the price I would get a high quality product.

This is my second Cafe drip coffee maker, The first lasted about 5 yrs then the water sensor failed. Brews well and quickly. Design looks nice but I wish it had detachable water reservoir. Have only had this brewe for a month so can't comment on durability.
