No Power!!!

Best bang for the buck

As stated in some other reviews. Break it in. Once it's broken in, it works like a charm. Took a few uses and it works amazing now. I love the mobility of it.

Disappointment

Everything I own is craftsman. I have an entire enclosed trailer professionally organized. Solar panel setup n everything. Every tool even the shelves are craftsman. But this rotary tool is horrible. Doesn’t even run a full min before shutting off.

Don't forget to buy a battery and charger

Love Craftsman tools, but most don't come with a battery, so you buy it and say great deal until you have to buy a battery and charger for another $125 bucks, the tool is $50

second try and its still useless

As all the other have stated before me it is useless!!! I recieved my first craftsman rotary tool as a christmas gift in 2022. Right out of the box I was having this issue of shutting off with the slightest pressure. I didnt persue any refunds just and delt with the headache everytime I had to use it. Today 12/29/2023 I decide to buy another one surely after a year they have fixed the issue. Nope!!!! Still the same problem! Great concept but terrible result.

I typically have had great experiences with my Craftsman tools through the years. When the 20v lineup came out I was really excited and immediately purchased into the ecosystem. This included the rotary tool to replace my aging Dremel tool. I really like the design and construction of this model. However that is about the only good thing about this tool. brand new out of the box as soon as i turn it on it shuts itself off less than 15 sec. tried different batteries and same thing when i saw this at the store i had to get it im regretting it now

Shuts off automatically

I was initially really excited about this, I have other 20v craftsman products and love them. This one doesn't make the cut, literally. I'll be lucky to get 20 seconds of even light use before it shuts itself off. It doesn't feel hot to the touch, I'm not blocking any air vent areas, it just stops. Makes projects take forever and become frustrating instead relaxing. Definitely choose something else.

Constantly shutting off while using!

I absolutely love the craftsmans v20 series and had to add to my tool list the rotary tool. It’s a great tool overall and I’ve been dealing with the shutting off randomly it does but now it’s just getting annoying bc I can’t use it 10-15seconds and it shuts off. Almost everytime I use it now it does this.

Shuts Off

To start off with, I am a Big fan of Craftsman V20's line of tools. I purchased the rotary tool to replace my corded Dremel Tool. I have used it so far as a cut off, grinding and polishing tool with felt tips. My particular Rotary Tool will just cut off almost immediately when I make contact with the surface.

Great Idea, but...the random shut off issue

I love my Craftsman tools and will remain a solid supporter. This tool leaves a little to be desired. I have used the cut off disc and with every task I use it for, it shuts off or trips the thermal overload. For light tasks, its a good tool. Hoping they get this fixed.
