Purchased this with the thought in mind of portability. I love Craftsman and have most of their tools. But this one is bad! Big problems just like everyone else. When you actually apply any sort of pressure it stalls and shuts off. Over and over again. Its basically useless. Unless your cutting balsa wood or maybe filing your nails do not purchase.
Shuts off
All my tools are craftsman and I love them. Bought rotary tool about a year ago to replace my dremel for woodworking. Was working great, but the last month it works for about 5 min carving, then shuts off. It will not come back on for awhile, but again shuts off. So frustrating because I love craftsman, but now I need a new rotary tool to handle my woodworking. Beyond frustrated!!!

Seems like it should work well, it doesn't.
I have a similar issue as most folks where it runs on fine but as soon as you try to apply any pressure it just shuts off. I hate this thing and hoped different batteries would fix the issue and they did not.

Very Weak!!! Low Power!!!
Purchased one and was totally disappointed because it has NO POWER at all. Put any pressure on the tool and it shuts off. Doesn't matter what tool you're using, it is just weak. All I was doing is cleaning a little rust off of some bicycle parts. Exchanged a few months later, and 2nd one still weak!

Terrible
This turns off after 5-10 seconds of use. If you put apply any pressure to it, it shuts off. Definitely do not recommend this.
