Terrible battery

Did not even use it. I picked it up late Saturday from a hardware store along with the leaf blower (combo package), charged a battery (it took about two hours), plugged it to the leaf blower, tried it once for a few seconds, and was pleased with the power for just blowing grass and leaves off the sidewalk. Works for Smaller Jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This string trimmer/edger works great around my home for the smaller jobs. It's awesome for trimming around sidewalks or the base of your house. It broke

It broke. I liked it cause it’s light weight and perfect for clean work until one day the cap for the string broke off and I haven’t been able to use ever since. Is this covered under the warranty?

String does not advance

String does not advance properly its a constant fight to get it to advance

broke after 3 uses

Not very sturdy at all. Only used 3 times to edge the front yard and on the 3rd use, the cam lock the keeps the string from unwinding broke. Bought this as a package with a blower and at least the blower still works.

Dead On Arrival

I returned the trimmer because the charger was defective.

Save your $$

Would not recommend this product especially for women. It is heavy to use and the battery barely lasts long enough to trim my small yard. The battery is very difficult to remove to charge. Bought because of the good price and the edger. The edger doesn't work! All I can say about the price, you get what you pay for!

Very good trimmer

The Craftsman V20 is of good quality and inexpensive. Purchased 3 months ago. I recomend it.

My issue with this trimmer is the little round orange piece of plastic that covers up the spool. It is very fragile, and mine only last for a few uses. I am not bumping the unit. I use it around my pool where I actually like the lighter weight and the fact that I don't have to pull an electric cord around, but this piece has been replaced about four times at almost $10 a pop. I have now paid more for a little ten-cent piece of plastic then I have for the entire unit. This piece of plastic needs ...
