Compact Security!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Many nice features you hope you'll never need. Self generating power, plus solar and battery back-up. Marine band, weather stations and regular AM & FM all work great. Sound is clear but small speaker limits quality. Very interesting product from the folks at Craftsman

2 radios in 7 months

Purchased 2 of these returned both due to static reception and the antenna has a weak point where it is soldered and breaks taking away fm/am signal

Keeping it for emergencies

Radio in unit does not work

We bought this at Lowe's in Puyallup WA (last fall 2018) and plugged it in... When it was charged, the radio didn't work I tapped it and it began to work. So I thought it was fine. Forward to last week (fall of 2019) when our power went out, everything on the unit worked but the Radio even if I tapped it. I notice a lot of lubrication around the crank. ??? I was disappointed as it is a CRAFTSMAN.

I have bought three as gifts. Work great at a great price.

great small radio

Seems to work great while plugged in to an outlet. Have not tried it out side in the sun or ran it very long on the battery. Good reception in side the house.

Great radio to have

This radio works great. It is a great addition to any home in case of a power outage and bad weather. Hand crank works well as well as having the solar option so you do not need to have batteries in it. Would recommend to everyone.

Versatile for most applications

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this product months ago and it has performed well in my needs of a desk radio. I've taken in on job sites pulling data cable and it worked well. The reception is good. Not great. I think for the price point digital stations should be used. It's got a vintage feel to the body/design. Volume output is great in low sound work environment. Love the many power supplies: battery, solar, crank handle or plug in to wall. The light is a nice feat...

Good little radio to tag along.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it's a good little radio, very easy to bring with you. Hand crank also feels rather sturdy, unlike some hand crank radios I've used. Weather band is a big plus. Can be a little hard to tune in on AM/FM being an analog Turner, but for the price it's a good deal.

Swiss army knife of survival radios

Took it out of the box and cranked the hand generator for a minute or two. Tuned the weather service channel and got the weather. Plug in a USB and charge your phone. Plug in a phone charger and charge the radio. Add AAA batteries for double backup. If all else fails there is a solar charger. AM, FM, WX, it even has an LED flashlight. All in a small, thin, lightweight bright red design. I'm planning to buy another as a gift.

Certainly proves useful

The radio has man features as well as the ability to charge your cell phone if ncessary.

Handy little gadget

I bought this in anticipation of Hurricane Dorian. During Irma, I had to keep going out to charge my phone and iPad at some random public place, so this could've saved half those trips by charging all 3 at once and being able to charge them once at home. You can also get a solar power block with a USB end that could charge this and then not have to leave the house if you didn't want to. Having the weather radio for updates and/or alerts is nice, because sometimes you're just in a daze and forget...

A must have for emergency kits

This radio is perfect for emergency kits with multiple power options including a crane and solar charging if power goes out. This will keep you up to date on current news and weather situation when you need it most.

CRAFTSMAN AM/FM Weather Radio

just got this radio for this years storm forecast and has not let me down yet.

Wanted an am transistor radio to listen to talk radio on the patio. It accomplished what I needed.

Craftsman radio

The Craftsman radio is very compact and has a solar and hand wind charging option. It has FM, AM, NOAA, and weather alert options as well as a DC output to charge your devices, and an emergency flashlight if needed. I like the portability of it to use in the garage or poolside, it’s loud enough to hear long range, and for the price a great addition to my craftsman collection!

Great little emergency device.

Radio and flashlight work good. The weather radio works great and has better reception than my handheld GMS radio.
