Longer run time solution.

Purchase a boat tank that has a quick connect,and run a line with a primer bulb from the tank to the generator. Pump the bulb to prime the line,then start. Less work,and more run time.

Hurricane Tested

About a month or so ago was finally put in a position to really test this product out. Hurricane cat 1 hit us in Texas and had to rely on this product. I was very impressed!!! Powered up everything that I needed to power up. Went nearly 3 days with no hiccups. The fuel lasted a lot better than I thought it would. Loving the Craftsman so far

Once I received my two generators I unboxed them, installed the oil and added gasoline, one pull of the cord and both started right up. I connected both in parallel and connected my living quarters horse trailer. All electrical in the trailer worked to include the fridge, A/C, microwave and all outlets and lights. Great power and very quiet. I replaced two Yamaha 2400's because they couldn't deliver the power required when hooked up with the parallel cables.

Purchased 2 days before massive CA heat wave

Filled oil/fuel and it started on the first pull out of the box. So far so good! Heat wave hit, power goes off and this thing ran for 2 days straight without a hiccup; kind of. Powered 2 refrigerators, my TV / stereo / internet and a shop fan. I did notice however on day 2 that it was running as if it was occasionally starving for fuel. excellent generator

picked up the generator and brought it home..put oil in it and gas..cranked on first pull...QUIET is the first thing i noticed,took it off ECO mode and still quiet..im testing it today to see what will run smoothly without overload..so far its great and it is expensive but when you buy cheaper noisey machines you wish you would have shelled out the extra cash and so will your neighbors.

Better than expected

Purchased at Lowes in Big Rapids two weeks ago and put it to the test after break in. 1. Quieter than 2200 "Big Red" in non-eco mode under heavy load. I own both so this has been proven. As quit as Big Red in any other mode, any other load. This is accomplished by putting a bigger engine in the Craftsman / Generac unit and running at a lower RPM to produce the same power. This should also increase the longevity of the engine. However, Big Red way understates their usable output so actual USA...

Vibrates like crazy

First, this isn't what I'd consider ultra quiet as described in the overview. I measured 80 db standing in front of the generator while it was running. Second, this thing vibrates like crazy. I have it on the deck so it's near the refrigerator and TV. It vibrates so much the pictures on the walls and the windows in the front and back of the house are rattling. Great little unit - Bad owner manual/troubleshoot

This is my first generator. I was considering picking up one of the cheaper, more powerful 6000W units but the weight and space needed to store and *haul* one of those really put me off. When I saw this unit, I was amazed about the small size and relatively light weight. Not Bad!

Bought last minute for emergency electrical backup for a few appliances due to incoming hurricane. Once electricity went out I cranked this generator up on first pull! Did the job till electricity came back on . Quite pricey for the amount of watts so if you have time to look around do so but if you have no choice like did not have this will get the job done.

Still running my RV like a boss.

OK, left a review already last year but after another year i figured I’d add some important info i feel other consumers will benefit from. Again ive got a 13,500 btu AC unit and it powers it well, and can even run a small 5000btu window unit at the same time. Fuel consumption is a little worse than i hoped but still reasonable. Quiet and Reliable

I bought this unit on short notice, as we are in a PG&E shut down zone, based on capacity and noise level. While we've yet to use this generator for a power outage, I use it all the time to run my power tools, as I have no power convenient to the shed where my tools are located. QUIET QUIET IT IS QUIET

I just got this generator and really like it. IT IS QUIET I MEAN QUIET. In econo mode is even quieter. Started up in 2 pulls and not hard to pull. Gas cap is like a car it will click as to not over tighten it. Only minor thing that is iffy is the thin cord holding the gas cap from falling when refueling. Trust me guys It is smooth quiet. Got my 3000 today - feels like Xmas

Got my 3000 today. Been researching "quiet generators" (inverters) for about the past month. After looking at dozens I decided to go with Craftsman.

Quieter than Honda.

I use this to power my camper and it has no problem starting and running my 13,500 BTU AC. Once the AC is running it has no issue also starting and running my microwave. It runs most the night on its small 1.6 gallon tank, starts with one pull and is quieter than my father-in-law's Honda eu2200i. Poor operators manual

They give you a can 26 oz and in the the start up details it does not tell you how much to put in. You have to pour and check oil stick which takes hours Could not get it started because it was over filled

I have used this generator to run my 13500 air conditioner I installed hard start capacitor to be on safe side this is the quietest generator I have ever owned .glad I purchased it I also have used it at home for power tools and not a problem.Great item to have for power outages
