A great small portable generator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I am just now greaking the generator in. My only issue is the availability of a parts manual and diagram. I like to have spare parts on hand. Pleasae email me the parts and diagram manuals if you can.

Great, Quiet little generator

It’s been great so far. I’ve been using it camping to run a 30amp RV. It powers the unit great and is super quiet. So far it has been super fuel efficient for the load it carries.

Listed Electrical Output is Misleading

Unfortunately I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this generator as advertised. To be honest, Lowe's is not the only seller that promotes generators in a confusing manner. However, I feel that prominent listing of a generator at it's peak or starting watt output is quite misleading. This unit is listed as, "CRAFTSMAN 3000-Watt Gasoline Portable Generator." Ran for 2 months, now not starting.

I bought this generator and it was easy to use and start. Then 2 months later with only a few hours of use....it shut off. It hasn't run since. I checked the spark plug, changed out the fuel, etc, etc. Nothing. No fuel to the carburetor. I found the start dial was clogged with red rubber (a seal inside). I got the debris out, but still no fuel flow. Thanks for the $850 paper weight.

The specs leave out an important piece of info

Got this unit for a 13500 btu Dometic air conditioner on a travel trailer. It worked at about 200ft elevation but bogged down when the a/c cycled. Took a trip to PA, elevation of about 3000 ft and it wouldn't run the a/c unit. The one piece of vital onfo left out on the spec sheet that Lowes provides in the description is that max AMP output is 19.5 amps. Turns out, the a/c unit spikes (cycles) at about 25 amps before backing down to about 18 amps. And at a slightly higher elevation, it doesn...

Awesome Generator

Bought this for our 30ft Hideout Camper. It has a 13.5k btu a/c unit. This runs the air no problem and runs the rest of the camper. Used this on a road trip and being able to just pull over anywhere and fire up the generator made traveling so nice. It is extremely quiet and you could run this at a campground or in you yard for that matter and it wouldn’t bother anyone. Extremely impressed.

It was very easy to use and did the job well. I wanted to run the fridge and the heater and it worked well.

Craftsman inverter generator

Hello, I bought this recently to run our camper while camping off the grid. I had previously looked into getting a generac 3000, but after I saw my friends craftsman like this, I chose this one. Freeze Failure

Would not run during sub freezing temperatures during a major regional utility power failure. Had to abandon home to seek shelter. It’s gotta go.

Quiet! Powerful, and 30 amp outlet

This is the smallest unit I found that had a 30 amp outlet for use as a home back up or RV generator, plus - it's super quiet! This is definitely much quieter than the comparative 'job site' generator with a 30 amp outlet - I know, because I've had half a dozen different generators on my renovation site. This was buy far an great buy for the price and power Runs my 33ft camper great ,very quiet it outdoes my Honda buy far more quiet greater power .all though it is little heavier than the Honda so far great buy thanks for carrying this product will get back with you on porformance at later date

Awesome product

Bought one right after tornado damage. Very easy to operate and move around. Super quiet. Bought a 2nd one for extra power recently.

Great but overpriced

I don’t have any complaints except that this was the only one in store and I needed it so I bought it. Much better prices for same power and similar noise etc.. not sure I can justify the price difference.

Super quiet!

Was blown away by how quiet it is in eco mode. So far so good!

Short run time

This unit has worked well for me and is quiet to operate. However, the small gas tank makes run time shorter than many others. That fact and the higher price as compared to competitors is why I gave it a 3 Star rating. It would be great if they could do like the Honda's and vacuum draw fuel from an external tank to extend runtime. The price of this unit is on the high end but readily available at Lowes.

Baught it and used it the next day for a weekend offgrid camping trip worked amazing , was super quite and quiter on eco. It ran my all my lights, fridge and microwave at the same time.
