Warranty Repair Runaround

I live in a very populous suburb of Atlanta. I bought my 27cc Craftsmen in March of 2022. I've only used the 50:1 TruFuel gasoline, per the specs. The Weed Trimmer suffered a catastrophic engine failure, as metal parts fell out (see photo), after it seized up. When attempting to find a certified repair center, I was led to one repair center that told me they don't repair 2 Cycle Craftsmen Weed Trimmers. A second Repair center was recommended. I like the product a lot but, the screw that covers the filter came damaged….

Strong engine

Beautiful engine no problems just don't like how you string it

3 month use

Used for 3 months with 50:1 premix. Changed plug, air filter clean, won’t start. If you want a good workout trying to crank this thing then purchase. Otherwise useless.

GARBAGE!

Not even a year did I get out of it. Craftsman is not the same.

Stay away

Complete junk. The head eats all the string, it doesn't matter what type of string you use. I have to run it in on half choke since new. It was bought last year 2021

Junk

On the second time I used this trimmer the head fell off and one of the metal eyelets fell out and of course was lost in the grass. I called the warranty number and was given a new number since this is made by MTD. I was informed the head is only warranteed for 30 days and I was at day 40. The third time I used this the trimmer head fell off completely and disappeared into the black hole of my weeds. Do NOT buy this trimmer!

Pull string problrms

Right out of the box string retraction did not work. I shouldnhave read the reviews. Goong to soend the money on a still next time. Do soend the extra and get aomething else

how can you not have an online instructions (manual) for making trouble shooting? trying to change the weedeater head out and no manual available. I think Big Corparations are pushing the battery powered products to eliminate having gas mowers and other lawn care equipment in the near future. here is your Green New Deal!!!

Two craftsman trimmers = two returns

So I purchased a new craftsman trimmer in May 2022. Liked how it was light and seemed to have enough power to do what I needed. Not as strong as my Husqvarna but that was to be expected, it cost $100 less. Returned that trimmer back to Lowes in June. Still went with the craftsman the second time because there's good and bad in all brands. It's now the end of July and I have a new Husqvarna to replace the CRAPSman trimmer. Bought this weed trimmer because of past experience with quality Craftsman products. Liked the concept of being able to change to have the use of different attachments with one powerhead and was looking forward to using on my 5 acres. The powerhead seems to work well and cranks fine.
