What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the generator for reliable performance during power outages, with many reporting it successfully powered refrigerators, freezers, medical devices, and lights for extended periods. Reviewers highlight impressive fuel efficiency, running for hours on minimal fuel, and surprisingly quiet operation. However, some customers experienced persistent starting difficulties despite checking fuel and spark plugs, while others report fuel leaks pooling underneath the unit and build quality issues like missing wheels and bolts that won't thread. Despite these drawbacks, most consider it a dependable emergency power solution.

Rear rubber foot attachment

Would Recommend

Your bolt attachment for the rubber supports are way over designed. Of 4 attachment bolts I was able to actually thread 1! It does not need to be that tight of tolerance gor it’s purpose. I had to buy 4 attachment nuts snd bolts to pass thru the drilled holes and secure. Ridiculous design. Everything rlse fine though I haven’t actually put it to a running test

Good power for size

Would Recommend

I bought this about a month ago, expecting storm outage. Storm never materialized, so tried the unit on a clear day and ran both a deep freezer and refrigerator on the unit with no issues. Ran unit for couple hours and refrigerator and deep freezer cycled with no issues.

Craftsman - 3500 Watt Portable Generator

Would Recommend

Not too user friendly: Gas cap hard to grip, oil fill requires a special funnel if you don't want to spill, oil drain empties directly on frame.

Missing wheel

How can I order a wheel? I bought this generator and it only came with one wheel. Where do I get parts?

Ran great one time... Then quit

Would Not Recommend

Ran great the first time we used it. Despite following all the rules: storing empty, correct fuel, appropriate oil, clean air filter, etc. Wouldn't start 3 months later when we really needed it. Attempted carb cleaner, quick start, everything. I know small engines are finicky but the whole point of a generator is to work when you need it. Fortunately, it is under warranty so I will probably just return and upgrade to a CAT or Honda.

VERY ORGANIZED

Purchased in August for use on RV ahead of Dorian Hurricane, opened box, instructions were on top, installed wheels (very easy) installed bumpers (very easy), set on level space, Small Engine Oil bottle attached, filled oil reservoir (somewhat difficult - had small funnel much easier, filled fuel tank, put choke on to start, would not start, pulled choke off and first pull it started. Fairly quiet, plugged in standard house fan at 120 V outlet and switched to on, works great. Next attempt to ...

Shoddy build quality

Would Not Recommend

Bought today to power a travel trailer. Opened it up at home just to verify everything was in order. Was immediately greated with a piece of broken black plastic, still not sure what from. I then found the wire to the spark plug sheered off. The crimp job on the ground wire came loose as well so the engine was not grounded. Finally, (and most alarmingly) bolts that fasten the exhaust to the engine block were drilled too far in, exposing the interior of the engine block. See the attached photos....
