Piece of Junk

I would not recommend this to ANYONE!!! It does not cut through anything!!! I spent about 4 1/2 hours trying to edge my sidewalks and driveway. What a waste of money. Buy something else.

Don't waste your money

Light weight junk. It's too light to dig a sharp edge, the blade makes to machine lift over grass. The model airplane motor isn't powerful enough to make the blade cut the edge smoothly. Maybe rye grass or fescue up north but forget about St Augustine grass. Just lightweight junk.

NOT ATTACHED TO BASE

THE VIBRATION HAS KNOCKED THE WHOLE MOTOR OFF THE BASE, I DONT KNOW HOW THIS THING EVEN PASSED INSPECTION, I HAVE TO TAKE IT APART TO SOME HOW FIX IT, BOUGHT IN 2022

Terrible quality

This unit literally fell apart in about half a season.the motor came off of the frame more than once. The last breath was when the clutch broke off of the motor. This is not usable on even the tiniest of yards.

Could use improvements

Never put regular gasoline into this machine. The engine/starting can be a little temperamental, so Ethanol-Free gasoline is essential since you don't run this machine as much or as often as a mower. While I have found it does a good job on edging for regular maintenance purposes, it's just not able to handle edges that are severely overgrown as it is simply too small. BUYER BEWARE!

What seemed like a good purchase turned into a nightmare! 1st, Lowe's will NOT accept returns on any power lawn equipment! My local store has signs posted, but not where this unit was located. Anyway, the unit is lightweight and the assembly is quick and simple, BUT the starting procedure is not! Its not as simple as priming it 10 times, flipping the choke, and pulling the cord! Even if you follow the multiple steps to the letter, including crossing your legs, it still doesn't want to start. Ve...

Cheep

Purchased this edger for a big job but it is underpowered and difficult to get started. The pull string extends out halfway before it engaged the engine and barely turns over the engine. Once started the poor engine is severely underpowered. The blade stops as much as it turns. This edger is only good for an edge that is already established. My electric edger works better. Don’t waste your money and time with this piece of garbage. Craftsman is junk, it’s for sale on Craigslist now.

Excellent first run

Easy setup, had it set up and running about 15 minutes after opening the box. Started on the second pull. I live in south Florida so the ground is sandy and figured I did not need a large powerful unit to edge my concrete driveway which is about 150 long. And indeed the little edger worked beautifully. I am writing this review after only one use, so it remains to be seen what the long term durability will be.

Gas Edger - WILL NOT START

I have had nothing BUT PROBLEMS just trying to start this edger. It is so lightweight that when you try to pull to start it - the edger topples all over the place. I made sure I had fresh gas but nothing helped! If you are lucky enough to get it started, then it is tricky to keep it running! Not what I am used to at all from Craftsman!

Broke after 3 weeks

Worked fine the first two times I used it. The third time, it stalled and won't restart.

One season and wont start - replaced spark plug and still wont run.

Works great!

This edge trimmer is just the right size for this 72 year old lady. Thank you for your product.
