No a tool I will recommend

The machine has no power only 30cc engine and can’t do the job. The cutting blade is very thick and can’t cut a thing.

Pull String from underworld

I purchased this on a Friday, after 10 pulls it started. Then I used it Sunday and it wouldn't start, I pulled so hard it left the ground. The pull line is too long, and the unit flys off the ground when trying to start. This is the worst Lowes experience I have ever had.

Too small

If you have a small garden home with very little edging to do, then this might be okay for you. But if you have a driveway and walkway of any significance, you might want to try something a little bigger. This edger does not cut the grass very well. It leaves a hacked and uneven edge. The edger seems well made with its share of plastic parts and starts easy, but it doesn't have the power or the blade to do what I need it to do.

Not worth the money

Hard to start .. no guide on edger. Very difficult to maintain a straight line

Terrible edger

This edger is almost useless, has absolutely no power to cut anything but the lightest grass, bogs down easily when it contacts any soil. I had a Craftsman 3.5HP Edger and it was a beast but the gas tank and fuel line failed after a remarkable 20 years so I purchased the E410. It's mostly plastic, weighs less than half of my old edger, I should have suspected a problem then. My first disappointment in nearly 50 years of purchasing Craftsman products.

Like it so far

So far, this is a great home owner machine. I would not recommend for commercial use. It has a 4 cyl weed eater engine and is light, and aggressive! It made my yard look just like I wanted and prefer the traditional design over the new weed eater awkward machines that are in this price range. The larger engine, older style machines are much more expensive and hard to find. This machine did a fantastic job, I hope it lasts a few seasons.

Be prepared to return in case it did not perform

This machine worked nicely with the first gas fill,, as soon as I refilled it refused to start back up.

I like this edger because it’s a 4-cycle,it’s not super noisy, it starts pretty easy and it is easy to control.

Burning oil after a year

Bought this last summer because I hate edging with a weedeater. Made things easier but it feels super lightweight and cheap. I have always trusted Craftsman so I didnt worry too much about it. Worked ok last summer and towards the end of the season it had trouble idling and would die randomly. This year I have to constantly top it off with oil and now with a fresh top off before starting the lawn it will run out before I finish. Smokes like crazy the whole time. Back to edging with a weedeater,...
