What Customers Are Saying
The Craftsman gas edger received mixed reviews. Some customers reported it started easily, ran well, and effectively edged their lawns. However, many others experienced issues like difficulty starting, frequent stalling or shutting off during use, and mechanical failures such as broken pull cords, stripped belts, and detached motors. Several reviewers felt the edger was cheap and lightweight compared to previous models. Overall, the quality and durability of this product seem to be concerns for a significant number of customers.

Would RecommendUnboxed yesterday—took 5 minutes. Edger fired up with first pull, then performed well to edge our front lawn. I wish there was a way that grass would not build up on the wheels, but that is not really a complaint. Great buy and value.

First pull of the rope and it didn’t retract and is hanging out of the motor. It will start with the optional stating bit that you have to purchase for an additional ten dollars. Hopefully I will be able to get it repaired with the warranty. Not a good first impression.
Looks good, but doesn't work well (or at all).
Would Not RecommendWe bought one of these three days ago. It ran for 14 minutes. Then the blade stopped turning and the engine wouldn't run at a high RPM. If you let off the handle that makes the engine go faster and spin the blade, it dies. It turns out that the exhaust valve bolt had come off, and it wouldn't run. We finally got that figured out, but the bolt will not stay on the guide, so now we can only get it to run for almost 20 seconds at a time before it dies. The quality control of this edger needs some s...

Would RecommendIt's a great machine. Understand that I'm 75 young, 1, The machine is very light to pick up 2. does not take any effort to start it. Having the cutter adjustments is a big plus. I don't have to carry it since it has wheels.

Weak and Broken
Would Not RecommendThe first time I used this , I was a little disappointed with the performance but it got the job more or less done. The second time I used it, the blade stopped turning. Pathetic product. Will return.

Smoked belt
Would RecommendThe edger starts very easy, I like the 3 wheel base. The blades don't last very long. The third time I used it the belt smoke and now it doesn't work. The manual has no part number in it to order parts.
