What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this utility knife for its ergonomic design, lightweight balance, and convenient blade storage. Most appreciate the swing-out compartment and push-button release for quick, tool-free blade changes, noting seamless swaps and easy access to extra blades. Many report clean cuts through cardboard, carpet, and packaging with minimal pressure. However, some users experience frustration with blade installation, citing a difficult black button, precise alignment requirements, and compartment reliability issues. Despite these drawbacks, most find it reliable and well-suited for daily use.

American made and I like the slight curve as opposed to a straight handled utility knife.

Light but rugged tool with a color that makes it easy to find when misplaced. Best of all it comes at a budget price.

Cool Tool

Would Recommend

I own about 10 utility knives and I use all of them...that is until now. I usually carry 2 with me so when the blade goes dull I have another on hand instead of fussing with unscrewing and fumbling to put in a new blade in the middle of a cut. The cool thing about this tool is that there is no fussing and fumbling to change out blades anymore. With the pressing of two buttons on this knife one can remove and replace a blade in less than 30 seconds!

Quick change blade, almost impossible to retract b

Would Not Recommend

After about 2 weeks of using this the metal clip holding the blade and tab used for length adjustment is no longer allowing me to retract the blade unless i push the blade onto a hard surface while pushing down on the tab. It has basically become a fixed blade utility knife with a quick change blade feature.

Great Value

Would Recommend

These utility knives are a great value and typical of Craftsman quality. The blade action lever is as smooth as anyChri I've had. Having extra blades on-board is nice because I'm never close to my tool box when I need one

Don't Buy

Would Not Recommend

I was looking for a simple box cutter for installing vinyl plank flooring in a Motorhome. Not only is it almost impossible to put in a razor blade correctly and re-install the cover, IF you decide to keep spare blades in the enclosed storage case, be prepared to have them come out of the bottom and slice your hand. You would think of they are craftsman they would be user friendly .. not so .... save your money and bandages and look for another brand

Utility Knife Set

Would Recommend

I have been struggling for awhile now with some old utility knifes, just kept trying to keep them going. I now wish I would have bought these Craftsman knifes a long time ago, as they are very nice and have extra features I like a lot.

Careful though

Would Recommend

Extremely sharp! I cut myself deep because I didn’t close it fully and left a little bit of the tip out, and then cut my thumb when I went to put it away. This is not an user friendly thing when it comes to change the blade either. However it is an awesome tool, it looks beautiful and feels confortable in the hand. It also brought 2 blades in the package and inside of each there’s refills, so I got a good value for my money. Recommended.
