What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this utility knife for its ergonomic design, lightweight balance, and convenient blade storage. Most appreciate the swing-out compartment and push-button release for quick, tool-free blade changes, noting seamless swaps and easy access to extra blades. Many report clean cuts through cardboard, carpet, and packaging with minimal pressure. However, some users experience frustration with blade installation, citing a difficult black button, precise alignment requirements, and compartment reliability issues. Easy to change blades. Feels good in your hand.
Would RecommendSolid metal body, comes with replacement blades, and easy to change.
Nice Feel, Terrible Function
Would Not RecommendWhile wonderful that this knife is made in the USA and is comfortable to hold; the functionality of the "quick change blade" is absolutely anything but. In addition, there is a distinct lack of instructions on the Craftsman website where the packaging says to go. It is much faster to just unscrew the body and put in a blade the old fashion way. I'll be exchanging these out for two conventional loading utility knives.

Constantly retracts blade
Would Not RecommendI made the mistake of purchasing this thing to use for a backsplash that said it could be cut with a box cutter and I regret ever spending the money. I had it constantly slipping and the place where they put the button to retract the blade is exactly where your hand is going to press if you need to use any pressure. cheap trash
Would Not RecommendThese are cheap. The blades rattling around. It's assembled correctly, but it's just poorly made and of poor quality. I didn't know how box cutters could feel cheap but craftsman nails it. It got wet once and I dried it off. Now it's inoperable.
