Trimmer Mower

I would have given this five stars but it just eats the plastic trimmer string up !!! And it is hard to find replacement string for it !!! My husband likes it but having to stop every short time to replace the plastic string is annoying !!! Otherwise it's a good tool to have.

Works great-no problems

There was a review saying Lowe’s doesn’t sell the replacement line. They might not have Craftsman but they do have the replacement line for this machine. I think the machine works great and I’ll buy a spool of .155 line and cut it to the length i need. 18-18 1/2 in.

Had this a year now. And am extremely disappointed.. My first Craftsman walk behind lasted over 14 years of serious use. Hardly any issues.. This new one with the Kholer engine and not a Briggs and Stratton is not even in the same class.. The thing is made cheaply. The air filter cover tabs broke first time I removed to clean the filter. The gas cap is a pain to get off and on. And no primer bulb is not a plus.. This auto choke is not what is should be.. After storage over the winter with new ...

Ok for flat ground don't use on hills

First time using it today starts easy,first pull everytime,everything, ok on flat ground choked out a little in higher grass,I think it would help if it had a throttle instead of the one set speed.Its not made for any type of hill with just the front ball it wants to roll over very easy.Think I'll try and sell it and just stick to my weedeater.

cuts weeds and grass...

Works great! We have a 300 x 50 foot runway (R/C field) with weeds and grass all around it. This thing cuts everything and so smooth. Our members took turns cutting while others flew their airplanes. Looks like a beautiful park now! Starting on the first pull and uses very little gas. San Diego Wingmasters.

Not the quality Craftsman used to be

Got the mower hime and the dead man lever wouldnt work. I hate those things anyhow and removed it and the spring. A small bungee holds the lever in the run position until I need to cut the machine off. Once I fixed that annoyance, I filled it with the included oil, filled with non-ethanol gas and was blown away. This machine is great for clearing overgrown grass, briars, etc. The trimmer string provided does a lot better job than expected. I go thru about 4 sets in 2 acres on some pretty k...

Engine need improvement

Kept sputtering and then dieing with very little load. If cut well when it ran. I returned it with less then an hour of run time.

Wheeled String trimmer

Lowes does not sell the replacement strings. They sell the machine but not the square strings to mow the weeds. They tell me to contact the manufacturer. What has happened to customer service?

Runs 1/2 hour then dies

Picked this up at my local Lowes, bought a new gas can, got fresh gas on the way home, put it together, installed the oil, filled the gas, and it started right up!!! Then I used it for 1/2 hour doing light edging around trees...I already mowed the yard with my tractor. After 1/2 hour the thing died...sounds like an electrical issue, not fuel. Great Powerful Trimmer

I was worried it would not cut down these tree-like weeds we get, but it did the job better than I expected. The package itself includes engine oil (you need to add), 2 strings already attached, and about a dozen extra strings to tide you over for a few runs. I let the weeds get out of control and the stalks near the ground were thicker than my thumb. Luckily they were mostly water and the mower sliced right through them. Incredible power easy to push

We have a farm and I bought this for clearing weeds and some large brush around the barns. It's amazing!! The big wheels make it very easy to push. We have to remember not to let the front of the machine down ~ the front needs to be raised up a bit in order for it to have full speed. I'm VERY happy with this machine!! I'm having a little trouble finding replacement string (want to be prepared when the current string breaks); however it's unclear what I'm looking for. It came with .155 18....

Had mine since 2003 and it's still working great. Love it. Makes cleaning up my back easier.
